3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
The unblended ’flat’ Lindemans lambic, earthy, sweaty, a bit smoky and funky but elegant and refined, with a cloudy straw blonde colour. Renowned for its high quality in lambic world and as such used by several geuze blenders; it’s a shame Lindemans does hardly anything else with it but covering it up with sugar and fruit extracts in most of their commercial products. But then there is still their Cuvée René, of course.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
At WE of Spontaneous Fermentation 2014. Slightly hazy golden with no head and no lacing. Aroma is of sulfur, hay, light funk and rotten eggs. Taste is very similar with wet grass. Medium body. Flat. Dusty finish. Not a fan.

Cask at WoSF 2014. Clear gold pour. Funky aroma, hay, grassy hay notes, floral notes, lots of cereal aromas. Taste is grainy, light grassy finish, a bit pils-like actually, very mild tartness. Pretty decent.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: JUL 26, 2012 From a little plastic barrel at Kronieksken in Liedekercke. About halfway through my 750ml of Girardin Black Label, and a good bit of talk about Lambic the owner of the place said he had a little something for me & brought out a wine glass telling me it was Jonge Lambic from Lindemans. He said a customer had ordered it & that it turned out to be not what he wanted, as he pointed at one of those little barrel (growlers to go). I got the impression he intended to just drink it himself but was kind enough to let me have a little.
Pours basically still with a hazy golden color.
The aroma is lemony with a pretty yogurt-y smell, somewhat sweet and salty smelling as well.
The flavor is lemony and earthy, lightly sweet & a little bit grainy.
Simply but very enjoyable jonge lambic.
