2004 bottle at Danko’s place. Dark pink/brown liquid with minimal off-white head. Aroma of wood/oak, cherries, funk and some light port oxidization. Taste is dry and light to medium sour with notes of cherries, oak and lemons. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Nice stuff, has aged well.

Bottle from Dranken Pauwels. Looks beautiful out of the bottle. Deep red burgundy, murky, bright like a new world red wine. Nose is almost as good as it gets for fresh Kriek. Deep baked meringue, white sugar, fresh cherry, sweet cherry, sour brambly apples, little farmyard and horse blanket, bit of funk, bit of cherry Bakeweel tart, lots of deep cherry fragrance, bit of red wine vinous. Taste is the sour dominating, green white flesh Bramley apples, acidic, tart, and then some cherry sweetness. This is very good, like a fine red wine. Some nice depth of flaour with the cherry and tartness and slight red wine tannin complexity.

pours hazy dark red with a very nice purplish head, good retention and lacing. moderate funk, phenolic cherries - cough syrupy, cherries’ skin and stone, lactic and citric - quite lemony, oaky, slightly earthy and metallic, cinnamon sticks, grass, pepper. lively carbonation, light body, assertively tart and grassy-spicy-oaky-astringent finish. very good offering enjoyed under the spring sun.

2011, opened Apr 2014. Deep ruby pour from 75cl into wine glass. Nice pink head that lingers a bit. Aroma oddly metallic (blood/metal). Pretty tart, which normally I like, but here it’s a bit too much. Surprised I didn’t like this better as I really enjoyed the CR gueuze.

naah.. this is not mine. I like sour ales, but this mostly seems like good wine gone off. BUT anyways its drinkable and I cant rate it low. Nice appearance. Sour cherries, bit weird acidic (this weirdness actually is the reason why it doesnt works for me), quite fruity and some berries, citrus. I wont buy it again, but if you offer for free.. why not :p
