I love this. It’s a little too tart for me though, but that’s what it’s supposed to be.

Bottle in garden, 23rd July 16. Pours deep dark red. Aroma is rich tart cherry, cherry skin and concentrate. Taste is full and pungent. Lots of concentrated cherry, tart, and sour, but not too mouth puckering. Really good easy drinking Kriek.

750ml->tulip from Red White and Bleu. Murky dark red with huge frothy pink head that dissipates to nothing. A: barnyard funk, yeast, cherries, Nice, much more funky than expected. T: tart and sour with cherries over yeast. Quite acidic. Better than expected overall, though aroma really outshines the taste, which leaves some lingering bitterness.

Bottle from Belmont Station. Funny how this was a bit of a whale for me, and then it just up and shows in America. Sweet. A: Cloudy, dense-red color with a fizzing pink head that quickly dies into nothing. Lacing. N: Cherry, oak, vinegar, peppercorn, vinous grape, some green apple, grapefruit rind, hint of raspberry. Some funk. T: Quite sour, lightly sweet. M: Light body, spritzy carbonation, no alcohol. O: Very good - a solid substitute for the harder to find Cantillon and Drie Fonteinen.

Beautiful dark red colour. Very rich tart cherry aroma and flavour. Dry taste with substantial acidity and no bitterness. Medium body with high carbonation. Overall, a very good fruit lambic. The full cherry flavour is great but I miss some of the sweetness from the regular version. Ripe fruit is sweet and I would prefer some of it in this beer.

Bottle. Deep red with a medium sized pink head with good retention and regeneration. Lots of cherries in the nose, some almond, citrus, minerals and must also. Flavour is also dominated by cherries with lemon, light almond/marzipan and wood. Medium body, oily texture, lively carbonation, light/medium sweet and medium/heavy sour. Long lemony sour finish. The sourness is a bit heavy in the finish.

Vermelho escuro, vinho, leve turbidez, espuma rosa de pouca formação e média persistência. Aroma de acidez predominante, cereja, uva escura, amora. No paladar acidez de média intensidade, leve dulçor. Corpo leve, alta carbonataçao. Final de média intensidade e persistência, mantém a cereja, maça, avinagrada. Muito boa para o estilo.

750mL bottle purchased at The Davis Beer Shoppe. The aroma on this has some nice tart, lemony notes, before some sweet cherry flavor takes over. Smells like a fruit roll-up, actually. Transparent ruby colored body with a medium, fizzy puce head present. It’s quickly dissipating, however. Starts with a very faint amount of sweet cherry flavor, before this becomes quite tart, and acetic. There is some good carbonation present. Fairly straightforward, and not overly musty. I think this is good, but I could see how some people might want more layers and complexity.
