Pouring dark red with a HUGE head, this Kriek stays cherry-sweet throughout, barely remembering its base tartness in the finish. Tasty, “like wine cooler” someone said, but nothing but a sweet dessert drink. drjay44 (772), Salida, Colorado, USA

Pours an initially large pinkish head, which rapidly deflates, some lacing, over a cherry red clear body.....nose is predominately of sweet cherry, with a small amount of malt and hop type, over all a "drug store" type of aroma.....tastes initially of strong cherry type flavors then a mild "beery" flavor comes in, finishing with a linger sour cherry flavor.....mouthfeel pleasant, medium, well carbonated. The whole experience is of overwhelming sweet cherry flavors handelsservice (1), hermsdorf, Germany does not count | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 24, 2009 Sorry, but I love this fruitly cherry.
It´s fantastic to see the beerflavor is only the second flavor and cherry is the first.
And it´s good in alcohol only under 4%vol.

Aroma similar to cough medicine or cough drops. Flavors of cherry hard candies and really sweet of course. Really delicious and easy to drink but also had a lot of depth. soccer290 (135), Highland Park, Illinois, USA

Having said that, it pours a cherry (not surprising) red color, with a bit of carbonation. Smells of cherries, similar to cough syrup. Tastes like a cherry cough syrup, but smooth. Overall, I liked the Framboise lambic I had more, but this wasn’t horrible. bermod (118), Lappeenranta, Finland

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jan 3, 2009 375 mL bottle purchased at Leaf and Ale in Knoxville. Poured a cloudy red color, almost like CoolAid that hadn’t settled our too well. Aroma was nice with strong cherry notes. This definately had a similar nose to the red NyQuil. Flavor was putrid. The cherries present in the nose tasted more like the fake stuff in cherry candy. The mouthfeel was way too thick and sticky for a beer of this type. Oh well. It was worth a try.
