thornecb (1737), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA Dec 20, 2008 Pours ruby into a Tumbler. Pink head with excellent retention barely recedes to coat surface. Cough syrup aromas. Tastes like the aroma - strong, sweet cherry cough syrup. austone (999), Turku; Pori, Finland Dec 20, 2008 Draught. Hazy ruby, huge pink lacey head. Almond and candy cherry nose, sweet & sugary, but with mild sour edge. Flavor is pretty much the same, lotsa candy like cherry, almonds, little wheat. Sweet but balanced and drinkable. Medium bodied, sticky yet extremely smooth palate. One of the best bonbon beers around. Bontus (293), Waasmunster, Belgium Dec 7, 2008 Updated: Jun 12, 2009Bottle. Pours pink to ruby red with a white pink head. Aroma of cherries, cassis and bubblegum. Flavorbalance is very well between sour, sweet and bitter. This is a good kriek. TheJollyOne (204), Kofu, Japan Nov 29, 2008
Poured a pale pink head over a ruby red body. Beautiful smell of cinnamon, cherry, sugar, and cherry bubble gum. Taste was delicious sour cherry and a host of other tart berries, well rounded approach to the bitter finish. Beautiful lambic brew. Watery and fizzy on the palate. I could drink this all night.
AsaNewt (113), blackpool, Lancashire, England Nov 27, 2008 Deep ruby red with a pink head. nose is very chery. flavour is sweet and tart. bit like drinking pudding. Kavu (94), Jyväskylä, Finland Nov 26, 2008 Deep red with a short-lived and ugly pink head. Strong, artificial aroma of cherry and much of the same in the flavor. A small hint of bitterness in the finish to remind you why they call this atrocity a beer. wyzzywyz22 (756), Wirral, Merseyside, England Nov 21, 2008 Bottle, Courtsey of Slothez. This is a little classic of the genre and as refreshing as I remember it to be. Poured a deep red with a pink head. Cherry packed aroma and flavour of course. Sweet , and slightly tart into a dry finish .Wonderful post pudding slurp. Dig it. NoiZe (1289), Mooi Zeist, Netherlands Nov 20, 2008 Red colored brew. Nice cherry aroma. Flavor is sweet cherries, no artificial flavor, a bit yeasty, some sourness. Nice brew.
