Thanks to Don for this. My wife stole this beer on getting a whiff of my glass. She proceeded to having a small orgasm as she started gulping this and not letting me near it. She turned and poured ME a small sampler and kept the rest. Pours a deep dark red from a thin ruby head. Aroma is fabulous, black cherries and sweet candy. Taste is intense sweet black cherries, astringent and mild syrupy that just hangs on your tongue. Great lambic.

Enjoyed from a 750ml bottle in a whiskey snifter. The beer pours a deep ruby color, with a moderate to large pink head. The nose gives characters of cherry pie, rather artificial, but reminiscent of holidays past and pleasant feelings. The palate carries moderate carbonation and similar flavors as are found in the aroma; along with a slight to moderate tart character that allows the beer to be quite refreshing on a warm late summer afternoon. Malt or hops do not make their presence known in any meaningful way. The finish is slightly tart, again showing pie cherries. Overall, perhaps not the most authentic example, but one that enjoyable in the guilty pleasure manner of an awful television show or Doritos.

If you put this side by side with a good cherry soda, I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference. Pours dark red with fizzy carbonation. Sweet and sour tastes. I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. It has the making of a nice dessert drink, but I couldn’t drink this by itself.

Smells like candy and fruit juice, pours a dark pinkish red with a light pin head. Taste is very nice, sour up front with lots of juice, then turns sweet, but finishes with a refreshing tartness. A bit of rust on the cap was giving it a slightly metallic taste, so my views may have been slightly skewed. Better than I expected from a sweetened lambic.

This smells exactly like Luden’s Wild Cherry throat drops. Wow, like they were melted down and poured in my glass. And it’s not bad.. tastes exactly the same, tons of sweet cherry with a little menthol component. Again, these are exactly as advertised. Tasty but at about $6 for a single 12 oz. bottle certainly a pass.

I’ve had this several times on draft at BXL in New York. This rating is from a bottle. Personally, I would prefer if this were less sweet. The sour cherry would be more refreshing without it. Very flavorful and works well for a dessert.

Pours reddish purple with a medium light purple head. Nose is grapes/black cherry with some wheat and an almost baking-soda type quality (not in a bad way). Flavor is....unique to say the least (this is my first lambic). It closely resembles a grape smarty candy (not in a bad way) with a lot of tartness and bite and a rush of sour on the front side. Almost seems like there’s a little vinegar quality here too. I won’t make any more comment...this one’s just outside of my "usual" range.
