Taste nice bit too sweet but strong cherry aroma, sour cherry aftertaste as well. Tasted first time years ago as starter for real lambic ales. Too sweet for me nowadays.. PattyBoy (302), North Liberty, Iowa, USA Apr 18, 2008 Poured red, with pink head. Big cherry aroma. Very sweet, cherry flavor. Slight sourness. Kind of tasty, but in that wine cooler way. The first taste is good, but when you get to the end, you never want it again. Tilley4 (218), Huron, Tennessee, USA Apr 16, 2008 The appearance and aroma made me think that this could be a really great brew... I was wrong. Its essentially a glorified wine cooler. Way, way too sweet and not very drinkable. I could see this as a teenage girls first experiment with alcohol.. bigtaster (184), Grand Rapids, USA Apr 12, 2008 Pale grapefruit violet with small pink head. Aroma of sweet tart cherry’s and mustiness. Tart cherry, grape. Sweet tingly pleasant palate. Good lambic. Bragesnak (2223), Aarhus, Denmark Apr 12, 2008 From Skjold Burne, Aarhus 110408

Dominated by cherries. A marcipan/almond bitter shadow from the stones DuffMan (2719), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, Canada Apr 12, 2008 Deep purple-red beer with a frothy pink head that stays forever and laces its way to the bottom. Big sour cherry aroma. Big cherry fruit tartness combine with a very pleasant mustiness and woodiness. A little yoghurty too. Fine carbonation imparts a surprisingly silky mouthfeel. However, it is very sweet, so if you aren’t up for that, then the rest of the character doesn’t matter much. GG (1612), NorCal, California, USA Apr 10, 2008 This is a huge hit with people who’ve never had craft beer before and it’s easy to see why. It’s really close to a fruity soft drink beverage or a cocktail, than a beer. But it’s soooo easy to drink and yeah, it’s nowhere near what a traditional fruit lambic (see 3F Kriek) should be but that’s okay. I gave some to a couple of friend and they flipped at how tasty it was.
The beer pours out a pinkish/red body, large champagne-like bubbles with a light pink foamy head. Aroma is roses, black cherries, a touch of sourness but even that was off-set by the simple-syrup like aroma of sugar. Flavors are sweet/tart-like cherries, with a soft-drink like cloyingness to it which I didn’t enjoy. Perhaps if it were less sweet I’d enjoy it more, but even then I found it to be somewhat refreshing. mjg74 (1995), La Mesa, California, USA Apr 9, 2008 Updated: Oct 15, 2008Bottle from Windy City. Hazy red in color. Somewhat sweet, slightly tart cherry aroma. Sweet cherry flavors along with a little bit of tartness. Slightly bitter finish. I could drink a lot of this stuff if it weren’t.
