| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 12, 2008 Deep purple-red beer with a frothy pink head that stays forever and laces its way to the bottom. Big sour cherry aroma. Big cherry fruit tartness combine with a very pleasant mustiness and woodiness. A little yoghurty too. Fine carbonation imparts a surprisingly silky mouthfeel. However, it is very sweet, so if you aren’t up for that, then the rest of the character doesn’t matter much. GG (1615), NorCal, California, USA

It’s really close to a fruity soft drink beverage or a cocktail, than a beer. But it’s soooo easy to drink and yeah, it’s nowhere near what a traditional fruit lambic (see 3F Kriek) should be but that’s okay. I gave some to a couple of friend and they flipped at how tasty it was.
The beer pours out a pinkish/red body, large champagne-like bubbles with a light pink foamy head. Aroma is roses, black cherries, a touch of sourness but even that was off-set by the simple-syrup like aroma of sugar. Flavors are sweet/tart-like cherries, with a soft-drink like cloyingness to it which I didn’t enjoy. Perhaps if it were less sweet I’d enjoy it more, but even then I found it to be somewhat refreshing. mjg74 (1995), La Mesa, California, USA

Somewhat sweet, slightly tart cherry aroma. Sweet cherry flavors along with a little bit of tartness. Slightly bitter finish. I could drink a lot of this stuff if it weren’t. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 9, 2008 Bottle from local Asda. Pours a deep red with a big fluffy pink head that laces quite well. Nose is sweet sherberty cherries with initially some strong apple smell on opening, which subsides to allow a slightly sourer lambic quality to seep through. Mouth is slightly sharp attack, quickly balanced by a long smooth sweet cherry. Finishes long with lots of sweetness and a touch of sourness. Gulpable, quenching. chimplechamp (463), Oslo, Norway

Red bodied with medium reddish head which went down pretty fast. Nice syrupy cherry aroma, sweetish, no traces of beer though. Black cherry flavor, so sweet, a bit sour which may hide that lambic, otherwise like a good cherry juice. Finish is long, sweet, very nice and pleasant. Well, this is really a nice juice, but I don’t find interesting those fruity things when speaking about beers... Duff53 (22), USA
