Bottle from local Asda. Pours a deep red with a big fluffy pink head that laces quite well. Nose is sweet sherberty cherries with initially some strong apple smell on opening, which subsides to allow a slightly sourer lambic quality to seep through. Mouth is slightly sharp attack, quickly balanced by a long smooth sweet cherry. Finishes long with lots of sweetness and a touch of sourness. Gulpable, quenching.

pours cherry syrup with a milky pink head. smells ludents cough drops- cherry medicinal tinge, some cherry flavoured cookies, marrichino cherries. tastes the same a bit tart in finish. good, not glorious, tastes really spicy in finish, as the drink goes, it gets more and more biscuity. good syrupy mouthfeel.

04/04 On tap at Hopdevil, Zagreb, thanks Doggythedog for ordering it. Red bodied with medium reddish head which went down pretty fast. Nice syrupy cherry aroma, sweetish, no traces of beer though. Black cherry flavor, so sweet, a bit sour which may hide that lambic, otherwise like a good cherry juice. Finish is long, sweet, very nice and pleasant. Well, this is really a nice juice, but I don’t find interesting those fruity things when speaking about beers...

355ml green bottle, corked and capped. Red coloured liquid with a small creamy pink head. Leaves some interesting webby lacing on the glass. Sweet cherries aroma, very subtle leathery aroma behind the sweetness. Cherry flavour with a trace of sourness in the finish. Minimal tartness. Light, effervescent.

Deep, wine red color with a pink head. I would agree that this smells and tastes a little like black cherry soda with a tart aftertaste. I didn’t think that I would like this but was somewhat surpised. I split the bottle with a friend because I could only handle about half of it before I got sick of the taste and had to drink a budweiser.

Pours a hazy reddish purple with a light reddish pink head. Mostly smells like sour cherries. Flavor is similar to black cherry soda, very sweet and tart. Medium body with lively carbonation and a crisp, tart and dry finish. Not bad, but tastes more like a wine cooler than a beer to me.

750ml capped and corked green bottle from The Lighthouse in Manchester. Pours a somewhat hazy ruby-red/burgundy with a good inch of pink head that leaves fairly impressive lacing on the side of the glass as it slowly dissipates. Smells strongly of cherries with hints of a funkiness which is no doubt due to the spontaneous fermentation. Tastes strongly of cherries too with a sweet-and-sour quality from the funky twang. Hints of malt toward the finish. Slightly on the dry side. Plenty of carbonation helps make this a pretty refreshing beer despite its flavor complexity and fairly full mouthfeel. A solid beer for sure and my favorite lambic I’ve had thus far. Really hitting the spot tonight.
