Lindemans Kriek pours rosé with a pink, bubbly head. The carbonation quickly cedes, giving way to tart cherry flavor, with slight bitterness. As much as I have made an effort to appreciate lambics, the apparent presence of artificial flavoring and sweeteners is a huge turn-off in this case. Maybe I’ll have a snapple next time, instead.

(bottle). Clear ruby color. Medium, rocky pink head. Sweet and sour cherry aroma. Moderate sour cherry flavor, with light sweetness. Avg duration. Smooth finish with lasting sweetness. Slick texture. Moderate carbonation. Fair lacing.

Deep red pour with a pink head and medium lacing. These also smell great. A deep, rich cherry smell, and a tart, sour note as well. Similar taste...big cherry pie flavor with tart notes at the end. A pretty good lambic.

Pours off red color with off reddish white thin head (pink). Nice bubbles. Lace retains well. On the nose this beer seduces with a gourmet dessert-like sour cherry aroma. Cherry-vanilla icing on a German blackforest cake perhaps. Hard to beat. On the palate is a mouth puckering rich sour dark cherry bomb that sets you back in your seat. Wow this is a flavorful beer. Finish is tangy sweet, cherry of course, and very appetizing for the next sip.

Pours hazy ruby with a thick foamy pink head. Aroma is magnificently sweet and delicious with fresh mashed cherries, floral, honeysuckle, cherry lifesaver or jolly rancher. It was hard to drink becasue I just wanted to keep the aroma. Taste of robust cherry, very sweet and juicy, slightly tart. Medium body, smooth carbonation. Very crisp and refreshing.

Reviewed 11/21/2009 (bottle, goblet glass, 53degF, office @ computer after dinner): Pours a strong purplish red color body, with an average sized dark pink head, lasting. Strong sour aroma and sweet black cherries. Reminds me of cherry ice cream. Some mustiness too. Nice tart taste, sweet cherries. Not as sweet as it is tart and sour. Very tasty, great after dinner drink, especially when I was craving something sweet. Strong fruit flavor from the whole fruit. Mouth puckering. Not super complex, but good for what it is.

Beautiful red color, small pink head; aroma full of candied cherries and sugar, somewhat artificial, but still quite pleasant; mouthfeel is very carbonated, rather thin body; flavor adapts the nose: really sweet, slightly sour. It´s okay; great after dinner drink and a good choice for cheap sparkling wine.

Draught in Antwerp. Kulminator was shut and it was pissing it down, alright? Slight cherry haze, lace with each sip. Pure cherry drop, faint wood aroma. Tingle of sherbet, cherry-flavoured confectionary, annoying drying chemical backtaste. The lambic has all but disappeared. Not so sweet it makes me want to be sick.
