Tasted 2009-12-14. 25cl bottle. Had this both fresh and two years old. The fresh version has a very sweet and candy like aroma - almost like almonds. No real funk to detect. There’s cherries in the aroma, but it’s a little artificial. The taste is better, but still not quite there; Too sweet and too little funk and tartness. It has a little acidity, but not enough. The old version is exactly the same(!) - I had hoped it would be a little more dry, but I suspect all the lovely bacterias in this one has been killed by pasteurisation. How sad.

Smells very sweet with some cherry. Tastes sweet dry cherry with a touch of alcohol, short, sour finish. White Lacing. It is a little too candy-like and lacks that belgium funk so enjoyable in a Kriek. Lacks depth and complexity of flavor. Some of the cherry flavor comes off a little artificial.

Pours pinkish-red with a tall pink foamy head; quite attractive. Sour cherry dominates the aroma. Flavor is tart cherry fading to sweet cherry. Not much else that I can detect, just lots of cherry. All in all it has an amazing taste, just hard to call this a beer. Fantastic after dinner dessert drink. My first Kriek Lambic, very enjoyable.

Bottle. Pours a clear, dark red color with a decent, foamy, red head. Taste is floral, of cherries and fruit. Rather sweet, a little sour, kind of tart and easy to drink. Similar aroma. Reminds me of wine. A nice, drinkable brew.

Pours a deep ruby with a large pinkish-lavender head. The head retains well and leaves thick, connected rings of lacing. The aroma is fresh cherries, dusty earthiness, old people, earthy yeast. The flavor is sweet and all about the cherries, with a slightly tart, dry finish. Light to medium bodied at best, with a syrupy mouthfeel and fizzy carbonation.

Bottle poured into wine glass. Deep clear candy-apple red with a light-pink head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is black cherry yogurt, mostly sweet and no trace of sourness. Flavor is sweet ripe cherries up front which fade into a tart finish that digs at the corners of the jaw. Again, no sourness, but a very strong tartness that provides a mild semblance of balance. Still overly sugary and not all that easy to drink. Mouthfeel is similar to wine cooler.
