STEPHENDR (478), California, USA Jan 3, 2008 12 oz. glass bottle- color of medium, with a strawberry colored head – nose is not too impressive no much going on, some cork, and soft cherries – taste of pleasant sourness, tart cherries, and sweet strawberry- body is mild, and with medium carbonation – aftertaste of dark cherries, and a sugary sweetness Holdwine (905), Beertimore, Maryland, USA Jan 2, 2008 Perfect alternative to champagne to ring in the New Year. Pours a garnet shade with a pink lasting foamy head. Yes, it is the cherries! A soda pop for adults. Very sweet even with a tart cherry expression. Is there alcohol in this? SaintMatty (1197), Tallinn, Estonia Dec 28, 2007 25cl Bottle- Red with a pink head. Strong cherry aroma which is very appealing. The taste is of cherries with almonds and light tartness which lingers. Easy to drink and pleasant for what it is. RiverHorse (454), New Jersey, USA Dec 24, 2007 Pours a ruby color into the flute glass with a pink head. Very sweet and cloying up front with cherries, malt and yeast. Very tart and sugary aftertaste. Not a bad lambic, but for the price, I would search elsewhere. DrPiva (90), Alabama, USA Dec 18, 2007 This beer has a glaringly pink color with a big pink, frothy head. But it displays wonderful dark cherry aromas, and is pleasingly tart with dark cherry flavors predominating. It is a bit too carbonated which makes it reminiscent of a cherry soda but the warming alcohol base seems to balance it out. The finish is tart cherries, and long-lasting. Certainly best as an apertif or with dessert. Quake1028 (633), Tampa, Florida, USA Dec 16, 2007 12oz bottle. Blood red pour with some purple highlights. Topped by a light pink head that is frothy and semi lasting. Some spotty lacing. Nose of Luden’s cough drops, tart ripe cherries, pie filling and light vinegar. Sweet cherry fore, followed by some acidic notes towards the mid-palate. The sweetness starts to get overwhelming after a short time unfortunately. Light to medium bodied, sticky mouthfeel, stays just on the outside of being cloying. Finish is again full of cherries, vinegar and loads of candy sugar. The ending tarts things up a bit, and that helps to balance a bit of the sweetness, but it could still stand to be a lot more tart. Better than the Framboise, but then again I love cherries and loathe raspberries, so that could be it. lumberjack (178), Michigan, USA Dec 16, 2007 Real cherry taste to this, and nicely balanced. Sweet malts and even a little hop bitterness are noticeable, unlike other fruit beers. Very impressed overall. mar (1740), Rowlett, Texas, USA Dec 15, 2007 purple pour with a nice pink head. smells like cherries duh. very easy on the palate and is not too sweet or bitter but just right. very impressive.
