But it displays wonderful dark cherry aromas, and is pleasingly tart with dark cherry flavors predominating. It is a bit too carbonated which makes it reminiscent of a cherry soda but the warming alcohol base seems to balance it out. The finish is tart cherries, and long-lasting. Certainly best as an apertif or with dessert. Quake1028 (633), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 16, 2007 12oz bottle. Blood red pour with some purple highlights. Topped by a light pink head that is frothy and semi lasting. Some spotty lacing. Nose of Luden’s cough drops, tart ripe cherries, pie filling and light vinegar. Sweet cherry fore, followed by some acidic notes towards the mid-palate. The sweetness starts to get overwhelming after a short time unfortunately. Light to medium bodied, sticky mouthfeel, stays just on the outside of being cloying. Finish is again full of cherries, vinegar and loads of candy sugar. The ending tarts things up a bit, and that helps to balance a bit of the sweetness, but it could still stand to be a lot more tart. Better than the Framboise, but then again I love cherries and loathe raspberries, so that could be it. lumberjack (178), Michigan, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 7, 2007 Very sweet, cherry-ish flavored, pours no head, leaves a thin ring of bubbles around the rim. The color is nice and does justice to a beverage based on cherries. Not an everyday beverage, but definitely great around the holidays. Definitely can get some people in trouble w/ the fact that it doesn’t really taste alcoholic. smartlung (154), Valrico, Florida, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 29, 2007 Pours a deep cherry red with a pink rosy head. Smells very sweet with a strong cherry presence. Based on the appearance and aroma of this beer I was not very optimistic, but once I tried it I was pleasntly surprised. The sourness of the lambic balanced out the sweetness of the cherries perfectly and vie versa. I now have a new appreciation for blended lambics.
