Bottle. Reminded me of a Luden’s cough drop, from my initial sniff through my first taste. While it is a tasty beer, it tended to be too sweet toward the middle of the glass. I could not finish it.

Uh-oh...is it the evening, me, or this beer? Ruby red with a dissapointing head...unmistakeable scent of cherry--almost cherry cola!....syrupy sweet...I’m thinking Sucrets?...fizzy palate--to the point of acidic throat attack....cherrys in taste, yes--robust, almost seething with cherries, but not in a Ms. Pacman kind of way...so strange to have such a drastic swing in experiences between the framboise and the kriek....perhaps in between both is the better review, but this kriek seems to be intruding my taste buds with a medicinal taste that doesn’t leave me with a "beer" experience...perhaps a future re-reviewer...

Bottle: Pours a bright ruby color with a moderate sized pink head. Nose is immensely sweet. Lots of fruitiness in a sweet and sour medley. Reminds me of a cherry sweet tart piece of candy. Flavor is similar to black cherry Shasta cola. Dark cherries, lots of sweetness, and some light tartness.

Medium purplish red head. Hazy dark red body. Sweetish yoghurty tofeeish cherry aroma. Sweetish milky yoghurty cherry taste with acidic notes. Tartish wooden yoghurty cherry aftertaste. Quite nice. (0.375l bottle at Mulligan’s, Milan.)

250ml bottle. Very dark red. Fizzy pink head. Huge waft of apple, then cherry, then perfume. Absolutely enormous. Slightly schizophrenic taste. Very cherry on one hand, with a good rich malty body on the other. Likewise, a slight sourness on one hand and a soapy perfume on the other. The two sides don’t really meet. Kept thinking "is this beer?". Gluggable. A good learner kriek for those that don’t want to be shocked by the seriousness that some achieve.

Bottle. Alc. 3.5% Unclear dark red color with a average, fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting, pink head. Aroma is moderate cherry berry, syntetic marzipan. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light acidic with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (260907)

pours a kool-aide red with a large thick foamy cotton-candy looking head. smell is of cherry and malt. taste is tangy, thick, very sweet, very cherry, almost like a syrup. being my first lambic, it is hard for me to judge.
