An aroma dominated by cherry, hints of sourness and apple squeak through. The flavor is sweet up front, with a slight cooked taste and finishing with a sour tartness that makes you thirsty for more. Very good. Hard to believe this is beer, but I could see myself drinking this for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Same as framboise only cherry! jmm1 (108), Andorra
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 25, 2007 From bottle. Bright and hazy red body with a lasting pink head. Strong cherry aromas that can be perceived from a distance. Cherry also in the mouth with a sweet and sour finish. Strong carbonation makes it a great refreshing beer. Great beer in its style f351c4v (404), Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 23, 2007 Pours a nice red hue, with a lasting, pinkish head. Flute glass is loaded with natural carbonation. Sweet cherry aroma, mild funkiness. Body is dominated by sweetness, although the cherries do shine through. Tart start, dry, sour finish. glennmastrange (836), hobe sound, Florida, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 17, 2007 Bottle. Aromas of hay, cookie, cherry, grain and medicine. Head is a fizzy/frothy pink, with a little lacing and is mostly lasting. Flavor starts tart but really sour, but it finishes lightly acidic, bitter and sour. Palate is light, watery, with fizzy carbonation and has a slightly drying finish. Not a big fan of the style, but it was not unpleasant. It was hard to get over the cherry cough drop taste though. boobunny (8), Getzville, New York, USA does not count | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Nov 17, 2007 Bottle. Reminded me of a Luden’s cough drop, from my initial sniff through my first taste. While it is a tasty beer, it tended to be too sweet toward the middle of the glass. I could not finish it. | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Nov 7, 2007 Uh-oh...is it the evening, me, or this beer? Ruby red with a dissapointing head...unmistakeable scent of cherry--almost cherry cola!....syrupy sweet...I’m thinking Sucrets?...fizzy palate--to the point of acidic throat attack....cherrys in taste, yes--robust, almost seething with cherries, but not in a Ms. Pacman kind of way...so strange to have such a drastic swing in experiences between the framboise and the kriek....perhaps in between both is the better review, but this kriek seems to be intruding my taste buds with a medicinal taste that doesn’t leave me with a "beer" experience...perhaps a future re-reviewer... jake65 (1698), Williston, North Dakota, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 7, 2007 Bottle: Pours a bright ruby color with a moderate sized pink head. Nose is immensely sweet. Lots of fruitiness in a sweet and sour medley. Reminds me of a cherry sweet tart piece of candy. Flavor is similar to black cherry Shasta cola. Dark cherries, lots of sweetness, and some light tartness. larsga (2958), Oslo, Norway

Sweetish milky yoghurty cherry taste with acidic notes. Tartish wooden yoghurty cherry aftertaste. Quite nice. (0.375l bottle at Mulligan’s, Milan.)
