25cl bottle. Pours a dark-ruby colour with thin fizzy pink head. Foam is vanishing. Aroma is really sweet with cherries first of all and candies. Flavor is similar: lots of sweetness and cherries. High carbonation. Thin body. Good beer, in particular because it does not smell and taste artificial as many other fruit beers.

A soft carbonation is already revealed by a quiet pop of the cork. Cute appearance: Deep red with a pink, fine-bubbled head. The aroma is of wooden barrels, cherries, cough syrup and fruit bonbons. Overall a fruity, medicinal flavour. Rather soft, tickling tartness that can’t balance the sticky mouthfeel left by the artificial sweetness. Really some complexity, but unsatisfying palate.

Red/pink pour with loads of carbonation. Sweet and tastes of sour cherries. I prefer the taste of the framboise and will be sticking with that one over the cherry.

Big fruity berry flavor, like an ice cream cone. Very reddish/pink. Nice lacing, like soda pop. Great!

25cl bottle poured into a tulip glass. Dark red with practilcally no head. Aroma is cherry cough syrup. Flavor is the same. Finishes very sour. Not my thing.

Flaske: Rød gennemsigtig øl med et fint lille lyserødt skumhoved. Kraftig tyggegummi duft. Smagen er til at begynde med den samme tyggegummi kunstig kirsebær smag. Men der er en smule surhed gemt godt væk, hvilket gør at øllen trods alt er drikbar, men bestemt ikke en Kriek jeg vil vende tilbage til igen og igen.

UPDATED: OCT 1, 2009 Garnet pour with one finger pink head. Aroma is of slightly sugary artificial cherries, and a hint of tartness. Flavor is quite sweet- cherries and only the slightest of tartness. Cloying and a bit artificial. Palate is smooth and pillowy with a very clean finish. Still can’t enjoy this after multiple attempts...

My love affair with Lambics continues. Nose full of rich cherry, almost strawberry, and light oaky malts. Pours the same color as strawberry soda but with a more attractive hue (less in-your-face). Tastes like a delicious strawberry soda with characteristic malts and oak behind it. Awesome!
