The nose was of tart cherry and a vinious like fruityness. The tatse started with sour cherry with some yeast notes coming through. The end had a hint of marcipan and a mild lingering almond aftertaste in the finish. the feel was full and solid and dry. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 15, 2007 Capped and corked bottle pours a dark garnet body topped by a creamy lilac meringue. Funky aroma of cherries and wool sweater. Tart/sweet cherries dominate the taste with notes of raw wheat, woody oak, and apple cider underneath. A bit too fruity/sweet but a tasty lambic, indeed. b33r (363), Cleveland, Ohio, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 9, 2007 Deep translucent blood red in color. Medium bubbly head that was light baby pink and left nice lacing. Exploding vinous aroma with tons of cherry and ridiculous rich cherry flavor. No complexity but for what it is, it’s powerful. A little sugary which left my lips sticky, and tasted like a fruit roll-up taunusmies (276), Finland

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 8, 2007 Very sweet kriek, with perhaps an overpowering cherry scent that leads to a syrupy sweet taste. Enjoyable as a dessert only perhaps? Grovlam (3805), Copenhagen, Denmark
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 7, 2007 Bottle. Head was spare and slightly creamy with a red glow. Color was red, almost red wine like. Aroma was very fruity, with heavy notes cherry of cause. Other notes were apple, grape, yeast and light vinegar. Light to medium bodied with a sticky texture and a soft carbonation. Heavy sweet flavor, with light notes of acidic. Note much bitterness here. Light fresh and average finish. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 3, 2007 A 750 ml bottle costing $9.45 at the North Coast Coop in Eureka, CA. Poured a beautiful red color with a pink head that lasted a long time and left wonderful lacing. Big nose of cherry and a touch of yeast.. Mouthfeel is thick and rich, with remarkable smoothness. Flavor is of cherry of course, with a small bit of tartness underlying the sweetness that stays all the way to the finish. An outstanding example of its type.
