voota (761), Melbourne, Australia Dec 4, 2006 Pours a deep red with a creamy pink head. Aroma of glazed cherries and syrup. Thinnish sweet body with plenty of artificial cherry and syrup notes. Quick, ever so slightly sour finish. Pretty easy drinking but a little sweet. Gus (29), Chesapeake, Virginia, USA Nov 25, 2006 Aroma is strong cherry, very small head, which dissapears rapidly. Overall appearance is a very dark red in color, somewhat hazy. Flavor is a very tart cherry with just a slight "bite" of an aftertaste. Moderate carbonation and bubbly, goes down somewhat smooth. This is not somthing i would drink all the time, this is somthing that my wife likes, so i would drink this occaisionally . Doggythedog (1541), Split, Croatia Nov 23, 2006 Bottle at the Hopdevil in Zagreb Poured a lovely darker red with a big pink head that webt away at a medium pace, leaving some thick lacing that formed a sort of a "ring" around a part of the glass. The nose is lovely.... fresh cherries and rosewater. The taste is nice too, nice cherry syrup, some sourness/tartness courtesy of the lambic showing up from underneath... I expected cherry juice, I got... a nice, pleasant cherry beer. Not terribly complex, not all that fancy, but still the most enjoyable kriek I’ve tried. Could drink this every day. A great introduction beer I suppose. waolsen (1220), Littleton, Colorado, USA Nov 23, 2006 bottle. paired with a bottle of Foret for Thanksgiving dinner. Offered a nice contrast and went great with Turkey. ruby red pour. no head. tart cherry aroma. palate follows suit. very clean and fresh taste. SilkTork (4155), Rochester, Kent, England Nov 23, 2006 Updated: Nov 5, 2009Nov, 2006 Foudroyante Kriek. Frothy sweet cherry juice with beer - hints of tart sourness. An interesting and gulpable cherry shandy - fun and enjoyable, certainly not serious and sober. [2.6]

Nov 2009Lindemans Kriek I love this stuff. I love it. [3.6] adwoan99 (244), Ft. Worth, Texas, USA Nov 22, 2006 One of the best Lindeman’s. Never been one that liked cherry flavoured stuff, but considering this is *real* cherry, amazing! Very sweet and tart, pretty much all cherry as would be expected, slightly yeasty as well. Appearance is very deep burgundy, with a pink-red foamy head. Definitely don’t drink it too cold! jeremytoni (1069), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA Nov 21, 2006 Cherry red color like expected. Pink head that wants to hang around. Great cherry flavor. Sweet but not too sweet. TheBeerLover (1019), DC Metro Area, USA Nov 14, 2006 Probably the mose popular kriek on the market today. As far as lambic goes, I am more of a fan of traditional ones ala Cantillon, but I must say, I do enjoy the sweeter Linemans from time to time. This beer pours to a beautiful, bright, deep ruby color, with a thick, pink head that fades, and a lively carbonation. The nose on this beer is very fragrant with the aromas of sweet/sour cherry, and hints of almond(from the cherry stone). The plate is crisp on the tongue with lots of very vibrant cherry flavor, on a tart, pale malt body. This beer finishes with more good cherry flavor up front, then ends very refreshing with some good sweet/sour cherry flavor that lingers. A wonderful aperitif, or desert beer, this is just a great beer to drink in warm weather, or to enjoy with a number of dishes.
