Pours a dark, dark purplish red with a creamy pink head. Aromas of, surprise, cherries. In the mouth it’s cherry soda up front, a bit of straw or grain husk with a nice tartness in the middle, and a surprising bitterness in the end. Light fizzy body with a syrupy feel going down. Long tart finish. A fine sipping beer but I wouldn’t drink this after mowing the yard.

UPDATED: JUN 13, 2009 Deep red colour with a pink head. Very strong sweet cherry aroma. A bit sour, sweet and cherry flavour. Medium-bodied. A bit too sweet, but still quite good.

Hazy red, lovely. Wonderful aroma. Tart body, with the sherries present but not ovewhelming, Brilliant aftertase. Close to Cantillon’s, in my opinion.

Deep, dark red in color......very fluffy, pinkish head. Sweet aroma of cherries. Tart cherry flavor up front......slightly crisp mouthfeel. Back is smoothed out by a sweet, yet not overwhelming, cherry taste. Overall, a very balanced lambic.

Had one 12oz bottle of it. If I was expecting the wine color then I may have liked it more. I was expecting a beer with some black cherry flavor. DEFINITELY not what I got. It did have a good fruit flavor but definitely doesn;t taste like beer.

Yep. Luden’s cough drops. Deep red in appearance with a pink foamy head that leaves nice lacing. Very sweet aroma of cherries. Tart, lively, and sweet. Starts very sweet like cherry candy. Finishes a bit tart. Smooth all of the way through. A very tasty and refreshing beer. Quite pricy, though.

I like Luden’s cough drops, and I like the concept of Lambics. Had a few sips of it and it was great. Not sure if I could finish an entire bottle of this though.

Bottle green, 375 ml
Appearance: Pours intensively bright and lively red, cherry colour of the body, texture is a bit hazy, carbonation is visually moderate but it is hard to see it due to red colour intensivity of the body. Head is off - white with red shade, there is medium lacing.
Aroma: Juicy and refreshing, natural extracted cherry juice, again characteristic accidity for a Lambic style, reminding a bit a green accidic unripe apple. Aroma is intensive but focused only on its cherry fruityness, neither hoppy nor yeasty, nor malty or wheaty accents.
Flavour: Front is very candy sweet, quite surprising sweetness, medium becomes fresh, strongly effervescent and sweetness gives slowly its place to accidity from the Lambic base of a brew, aftertaste is accidic quite strongly, finally there is a shade of grainy taste in the background. Finish duration is medium to long.
Palate: Body is medium, texture is well balanced between accidity and sweetness, interesting, carbonation on palate is livley, finish feel is sticky.
