Nose full of rich cherry, almost strawberry, and light oaky malts. Pours the same color as strawberry soda but with a more attractive hue (less in-your-face). Tastes like a delicious strawberry soda with characteristic malts and oak behind it. Awesome! dalek123 (103), Houston, Texas, USA

Taste is sweet cherries up front, with a tartness in the finish. Memorable and enjoyable. jrallen34 (123), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 2/5 | 18/20 | Jul 17, 2009 I drank this from the bottle into a chalice. The bottle is capped but has a cork.
When I poured it poured a bright red, almost like hawaiin punch, but as it settled it was a dark blood red color. There was about a finger high pink head that disappated quickly. There is little lacing.
It smells very sweet, cherries are dominant, almost like cherry cough drops.
It tastes as sweet as it smells with again cherries dominating. WHat made this kriek great was the great sour note at the end.
Overall, a very good lambic. lithy (1650), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 12, 2009 Bottle from the back of the fridge that’s a year or two old. Dark red pour with a big pink head. Tart and sweet cherry aroma. Similar flavor with a lasting tart cherry finish. Sampled this at the Columbus Alefest a couple weeks ago and could swear it tasted like kool-aid. Maybe time has been kind to this bottle. beerchugger (293), Colorado, USA

Smells of vinegar, sugar, and defintely cherry. The taste is a bit vinegar with good cherry flavor. A touch too cloying however. VTHopHead (900), Barre, Vermont, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 4, 2009 355ml - Pours a darkish red in color with little carbonation and a pinkish head that barely covers the top of the beer. Aroma is clearly black cherry, which I love and slightly sweet. Flavor is all about the cherries (really good). Starts sweet, but then the sourness of the cherries and the Brettanomyces. Finishes strong on the cherries and, again, slightly sweet to start and sour to finish. I am a real black cherry fan and this one did not disappoint... I really like this one... | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 28, 2009 Poured out a dark pink beer with a nice bright head; on a good pour I can get some ropy lacing. The aroma is of black cherries, some oak, medium sweet, a slight dusty earthiness (very little). It’s big on the black cherry. The taste is also dark cherry, slight wood, a spritzy sourness, nice sweetness, a bit dry and mild overall. Has a great carbonation to it, good solid sourness that goes dry then goes sweet. Finishes with a slight heat. Mild an smooth overall.
