Bart (1625), Vosselaar, Belgium Mar 18, 2006 Pink-redisch colour, small light pink head. Sweet-sour cherry aroma, nice balanced. Full body with sweet cherries. Finish is light sour with sweet touches, but not to much. Rather good one. smcd (366), USA Mar 14, 2006 Aroma of cherries. Nice, deep, ruby red appearance. Flavor is good -- again of cherries, almost artificial, and bitter in the back-end. Some sourness with a lactic acidity just undercover. Fine palate for a lambic. Spritzy. crizay (1050), Brook Park (was Tampa,FL), Ohio, USA Feb 25, 2006 Pours a very dark red almost purple color, big pink head. Flavor wasn’t as sour as some of the other flavors, and thought this tasted like a cherry cough drop. onystrom (741), Århus-Randers Crew, Denmark Feb 21, 2006 Clear red color with okay head. Synthetic aroma and taste of cherry. I don’t like it but its the best beer the kids ever tasted (age 2 and 4)!! sandwichpants (117), Royal Oak, Michigan, USA Feb 20, 2006 This was pretty tasty. Beautiful pour, deep red with just the right amount of cloudiness for it to catch light in beautiful ways that show the depth of the drink. Head could have been a little prettier though. I didn’t get much aroma from it, what was there was cherry. Taste is sweet and tart cherry with a number of flavours underneath it that are very subtle, I think I could taste some wheat, some yeast pungence. It’s smooth, carbonated just right for a drink of this nature, and had a fairly substantial feel in my mouth, without being too syrupy. Very refreshing. bfeldmann (1042), Wilmington, Delaware, USA Feb 17, 2006 "Ended my night on this. Poured a red with a nice head and left some lacing. Aroma was of cherries and something, not sure what. Flavor was mostly cherries Nice carbonation. " Tmoney99 (4661), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Feb 8, 2006 Bottle at Beer Sellar. Poured reddish brown with a moderate frothy head that was mostly diminishing and produced fair lacing. Heavy cherry aroma. Light to medium body with fizzy carbonation. Full cherry flavor with a small sour finish. Blended with a double chocolate stout to make a cherry chocolate soda. porterhouse (1148), Alna, Maine, USA Feb 5, 2006 (Bottle from <A HREF=http://www.ratebeer.com/Place/maine/portland/downeast-beverage-co/974.htm target=blank>Downeast Beverage Co.) Murky reddish-brown pour. Fizzy pink head. Strong aroma of sour cherries. Lots of sloppy, foamy lacing. Very carbonated, so has a bubbly mouthfeel. Tastes of malt and cherries with a nicely sourish finish. Is alot like drinking an alcoholic black cherry soda, but I didn’t find it overly sweet. Actually quite tasty. Sure beats a crappy wine cooler.
