FROTHINGSLOSH (1965), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 6, 2005 Updated: Jun 26, 2006I love the Lindemans lambics in general. I have had this one a couple of times over the years. Sampled from a 12 oz green bottle. this beer poured a bright red color with a small pinkish head. The aroma is strong sweet cherry. The flavor is tart with a sour cherry tang and a strong fruity cherry flavor. The mouthfeel is moderately thick. The finish is sweet and tangy. Ray1975 (251), Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, USA Jun 4, 2005 Poured a ruby red with a bright pink head. Aroma is of fresh black cherries sweet and sour.. Flavor follows suit with sweet and sour cherries along with a vinigar kick at the end. kook (2034), Perth, Western Australia, Australia Jun 4, 2005 Pink with a red head. Sweet cherry syrup aroma. Cloying sweet cherry flavour. Too unbalanced for my liking. Geiserich (1775), Vienna, Austria Jun 2, 2005 Updated: Apr 30, 2006Bottled: (4,5 ABV) Very intensive almond aroma. Sweetish cherry notes. Light sourly flavor, more body but less acid then chapeau. All in all too sweet with obtrusive almond notes. Light sweet end, only few dryness. Great stuff! I love it. A lot of people will not however as they will be thinking it too sweet or not sour enough. Personally I think this is a real gem. Amazing looks. Glorious pink head that stays well and leaves heavy lacng behind. Nose is cherry and sweet freshly cut apples. Flavour is more of the same with a sugary sweet kick. Very tangy finish which nibbles at the sides of your tongue. Normally I would prefer it to be more tarty lambic but this is something different that really does the trick for me! biz82 (1328), austin, Texas, USA May 29, 2005 Pours a fuschia haze with a frothy pink foam. Sharp, tart and earthy cherry aroma. Smells like cherry juice. Very sweet and nourishing in flavor with some lingering oily flavors on the tongue. Excellent lacing. Very good if straight ahead. Of obvious high quality. GirlyBeer (183), Biddeford, Maine, USA May 29, 2005 Updated: Aug 18, 2005This is probably my favorite beer, this one or the Frambroise. It’s an excellent after dinner or dessert beer. I could drink this every day. It smells fruity, it tastes a little sweet, but that’s why you wouldn’t want to drink it with a meal. It’s a nice color. It’s just an all around excellent beer. bb (2905), Martinez, California, USA May 29, 2005 Bottle. Rich purple-red color with a big pink head. Sour cherry aroma with yeast. Sour cherry flavor - sweet, tart, refreshing. Better than the Framboise.
