A great brew, sweet, but plenty sour for the style..a slight yeastyness to it as well, may be my favorite belgian lambic, but time will tell! lol!
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 beerguy101 (4924) - Newark, California, USA - JUL 7, 2006
This lambic pours a deep red color from a corked and capped 335ml bottle. Medium sized reddish white foamy head. Aroma is cherries and sweet, with a slight touch of funk. A medium bodied lambic. Malts are fruity and sweet. Lots of cherry flavors, in fact its almost all cherry flavors. Mostly sweet cherries with some tart/sour cherry flavor. Some funk and yeast but mostly cherries. Lively carbonation. Smooth taste. A touch of funk at the finish, but really doesn’t have all the funk/tart/sourness necessary for a lambic. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 eaglefan538 (2735) - Wilmington, Delaware, USA - JUN 7, 2006
Not a bad fruity beer at all. This one poured with a blatantly obvious maroon redness, a nice head, and great lacing. The aroma was of cherries, roses, and a little bit of funk. The flavor was of strong cherries with a little bit of the lambic funk in the finish. Perfect level of carbonation. A very nice beer within style, but this borders on non-beerness. Curving for within style (and recognizing the right time for a beer like this), two thumbs up.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 jetzler (622) - oklahoma city, Oklahoma, USA - JUN 7, 2006
43F Bottle Flute. Aroma was slighty sour, with notes of cherry, yeast is just barely noticble. Pour a nice red with a slightly pink red, with dark sediment, fairly clear. Nice tastes of cherry, with great sour notes, and a very dry and delicious finish. Very good natural cherry taste. Very light mouth feel with decent carbonation of very small bubbles. Good brew, appears to nicely follow the style.

Bottle: For its style it is very good, fresh sweet cherry taste with a slight bitterness and acidity. A great occasional beer.

Bottle. Pours a very dark, pinkish color witha large light pink head. Aromo is of sour black cherries. Taste is very good. Black Sour Cherries is the main thing that I can taste. Smooth with very little harsh bitterness. For my first fruit beer, I am very impressed.

UPDATED: OCT 25, 2007 To start off, this is the first fruit lambic I’ve tried. It’s too sweet, and the cherry flavors didn’t seem natural or grab me at all.
Re-rate pending.

A truly fine fruit lambic. A deep red color with a pink head. Rich fresh cherry taste with a mild yeast finish. Highly recommended.

12 oz bottle poured a hazy ruby red with a small lasting dark pink head. Aromas of sour cherries. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of sour cherries, wood and and a hint of yeast with a crisp slightly tart lingering finish. Could stand to be more tart to be a proper lambic, but not bad.
