Pretty dark rose colored pour with a light pink head. Aroma holds very sweet artificial cherry, a touch of tartness, and a bit of wheat profile. Flavor holds very sweet cherry with very subtle tartness. Pretty one-dimensional and really not bad- it would be interesting to see how much higher the ratings would be if this were classified as a fruit beer instead; it’s not all that different from the best in that category.

375ml bottle at 3.5%. Pours orange red with a medium, frothy pink head. Aroma is earthy, sweet cherries. Taste is sweet cherries throughout, with an intensely sweet finish.

Test vom 14.1.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche

Very delicious, can only have one due to the sweetness, but really a nice desert beer, or as Michael Jackson said, as an introduction at a party.

A pleasant taste. Not even *close* the quintessential image of beer with its strong cherry-juice taste. The aftertaste, however, reveals that it certainly is beer. Very nice.

Pour cherry red pink head great lace. Aroma cherry halls/sour cherry blasters candy. Taste sour, cherry, cherry pie, decently sweet. MF medium slick MF fine fizzy light carb. Overall good beer nothing special a little sweet and partially artificial.

Had a feeling I was opening this way too early, if the Liefman’s at 4 years old was just finding balance. I was right! This has way too much unmatured sweetness. But a fine deep Morello cherry red and same infuses aroma with fruit and spice. Very charming. Long play of sweet natural cherry flavors plays over promising seam of tartness. I’d obviously give this 4-6 years in the cellar next time. INFANTICIDE
