Bottle. Cloudy purple-reddish pour with a nice sized fizzy light pink head. Aroma of sugar and cherries. Flavor dominated by cherries with some faint malt present. My first venture into lambics, not too shabby but need to weigh other offerings too.

Great aroma, but that’s all.Artificial, too sweet, like cherry lemonade. Nothing good compared to other Krieks.

Liquid cherry Ludens cough medicine with a hint of lemon drop. Rose colored brew with a small cotton-candy colored head. Aroma definitely exhibits an artificial cherry extract quality. Medium mouthfeel. Quite sweet for a Kriek.

I really like this one. Very nice and sweet taste of cherries and almonds. Very rich and refreshing and I just want to take another sip. The only downside is the colour which looks a bit diluted. It also goes excellent with some truffels. I had it last night with some home made chocolate, porter and coffe ice cream and it fit perfectly as well. Try this with a dark chocolate dessert and you wont be dissapointed.

On tap at Olutkellari, Helsinki. Pours dark red with a small pink head. Aroma is sweet and sour cherries not much else. Flavor is sweet cherries, with a hint of marzipan. A little tartness comes through but the aftertaste is a little to sweet unfortunately.

Bottle poured into a pilsner style glass. Poured a deep rose color with a decent sized pink head that dissipated fairly quickly. Strong, deep cheery flavoring with a slight beer like flavor. Reminded me of a cherry Jolly Rancher candy. Very good and rich. Probably couldn’t drink more than one though... too sweet.

Pours a rich dark red with a three finger pink head and copious lacings. Aroma is very potent black cherry. Taste is like the most delicious black cherry soda you can imagine. The flavor is very full and sweet and it is hard to believe this has any alcohol at all. Easy drinker with no faults but doesn’t taste much like beer at all. Excellent desert choice IMO and not one to swill. Sip it with a meal and enjoy those immense flavors.

Kriek from Carrefour, bought in Tervuren. Dark cherry body with plenty of fizz. Foamy pinkish head. Sharp nose of sugared cherry. Taste is very sweet, with cherries and all. Crisp. Well done, but really not my thing at all. Drainpour.
