25 cL bottle (Souvenirs du Terroir Kriek (s Lands Souvenirs Kriek 3.5% ABV)). Pours dark brown with a red hue and a creamy light brown/pink head. Clear cherry flavoured with a little apple sourness. Flavour is sweet cherries with a peppery twist. Lovely sweet sour. Sweet sour finish. Simple kriek, nice.

A clear red beer with a huge beutiful pink head. The aroma is totally dominated by cherries. The flavor is also dominated by cherries, but on a woody background and hints of sourness. It is only hints of the wild fermentation - and that is a little sad. Drink it cold as an apperitif - but don't expect a real lambic from this beer.

Bottled. Cloudy red coloured with a medium sized pink head. Aroma of apples, marzipan and cherries with woody notes. Sweet flavour of overriped apples, cherries and marzipan.

UPDATED: NOV 19, 2005 (Bottle 37,5 cl) Comes as "Foudroyante Kriek" - the name used by Lindemans on the French market. Very pretty, deep red colour with a lovely pink head. Pronounced cherry in the nose - apparently with no less than 25% fruit (both whole cherries and cherry juice). Rather sweet and cherry-flavoured with an underlying tartness from the Lambuc. Unfortunately also with artificial sweeteners and aroma. Shame on you. 260603

Deep red with semi-sweet, fresh cherry flavour. Refreshing, but far from the complexity of Girardin’s or Boon’s interpretations of the style.

Early amateur rating warning! Fabulous fruit and tarty cherry beer, sweet as well.

Purplish red beer with a pink head! Crisp palate a little dry. Sweet and sour morello cherry. Not a subtle kriek but after an evening of drinking English bitters - it goes down a treat!

Tastes and smells like slightly carbonated cough syrup with candy sugar added. Not sure this is a beer. Not nice. To be avoided unless you are in a hypoglycemic coma.
