3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 bhensonb (7598) - Woodland, California, USA - JUL 17, 2006
Aroma of dark cherries with a hint of raspberry. Beautiful cherry red color. The head does not last. Starts sour, moves through a sweetness, on to a cherry tartness, finishing somewhat yeasty. Cherry persists.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 madsberg (7570) - Søborg, DENMARK - MAY 10, 2005
Bottled: Clear red coloured. On top a fantastic white head with a distinct red gleam. Distinct cherry aroma with a marzipan like sweetness. There is an apple undertone. Flavour is dry and light sour on top of the fruitsweetness. A bit sweet lambic, but well balanced. Dry and refreshing fruity end. Has good lasting. A bit too sweet for my likings, but still a very good beer.
3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 hopscotch (7542) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JUL 1, 2002
UPDATED: NOV 24, 2004 Drinking this Lambic is second only, on the ’experiencing cherries’ scale, to actually eating a cherry. I love cherries and I love Lambics. I can’t think of anything NOT enjoyable about this beer. This is just a very fun/sweet/tart beer to drink. As I mentioned regarding the Framboise, don’t pop the cork expecting complexity. Fun for the whole family.

Bottled. Cloudy red with pink head. Sweet cherry, most definitely, with a powdery chalky slightly sour character. Perfumed on the nose and a lingering skinny sharp flavour. More challenging than enjoyable.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 MoritzF (7402) - Bochum, GERMANY - MAY 8, 2005
(bottled as Souvenirs du terroir Kriek) Hazy red colour with a small red fizzy head. Aroma of black cherries and sugar. Flavour is quite sweet, cherry taste with only a slight tart bitterness. Quite lasting finish.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20 Bov (7364) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - NOV 26, 2001
nice bordeaux colour, deep cherry aroma but too ’synthetic’, artificial taste - not good

Bottle at Beer Sellar. Poured reddish brown with a moderate frothy head that was mostly diminishing and produced fair lacing. Heavy cherry aroma. Light to medium body with fizzy carbonation. Full cherry flavor with a small sour finish. Blended with a double chocolate stout to make a cherry chocolate soda.

Bottle: Nearly artificially red coloured, lacing pink foam; strong sweet, almondy, fruity nose with a very sharp, sour touch; sweet flavour, light bodied, a bit sticky; sweet finish with some acidity and a faint tart aftertaste. Not unpleasant on hot summer days.....................
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 MesandSim (7109) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 1, 2005
UPDATED: AUG 30, 2005 A Mes rate:
Great stuff! I love it. A lot of people will not however as they will be thinking it too sweet or not sour enough. Personally I think this is a real gem. Amazing looks. Glorious pink head that stays well and leaves heavy lacng behind. Nose is cherry and sweet freshly cut apples. Flavour is more of the same with a sugary sweet kick. Very tangy finish which nibbles at the sides of your tongue. Normally I would prefer it to be more tarty lambic but this is something different that really does the trick for me!
