Aroma is sublimely cherry and sweet. Lightly fizzy on the tongue. Taste is of cherry and quite sweet, with some sour notes. Lovely! MrStitch (138), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA

Very nice aroma, sweet cherry with a hint of yeast. Great flavor, it reminds me of those sour cherries candy that you used to get from the penny candy store on the corner when you were a kid. It starts out with a sweet blast of cherry flavor then disappears into a tart (but not strong) tangy cherry flavor. Very nice I will be drinking this on a regular basis. brewssuds (17), British Columbia, Canada
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jun 1, 2008 This is not a typical beer, and shouldn’t be judged as if it were. There was a deep aroma of sour cherries on the cork, which prevailed as the beer was poured. The color was brilliant red, with a pink head. The taste was very cherry; quite sweet, yet a bit sour at the same time (if that makes any sense). Mouthfeel was very much like champagne. In fact, if you didn’t know what this was, you might mistake it for a cherry champagne (at least I would). Not the sort of beer you would want to drink in quantity. It would be a wonderful beer to have with real black forest cake. IDunno19 (78), Ames, Iowa, USA

Nose full of rich cherry, almost strawberry, and light oaky malts. Pours the same color as strawberry soda but with a more attractive hue (less in-your-face). Tastes like a delicious strawberry soda with characteristic malts and oak behind it. Awesome! Cirrhosis (624), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

The only thing I can say about the look of the beer its very pretty with its rich ruby red body and huge pink cap that had phenomenal retention and lacing, for a fruit beer this looks perfect. Aroma is loaded with sour cherries and had undertones of apple, the warmer it got the sweeter the smell got turning almost candy like towards the end. Mouth feel is smooth and full with great carbonation. So very tasty wow I’m blown away by the flavor. Tons of fresh cherry that has a very tart quality but yet still sweet, the tartness and the sweetness are in perfect balance. I still think I’m getting a touch of apple. The malts are rich and smooth but stay in the back ground letting the intense cherry shine through. So good I can’t believe it even the fiancé likes what is rare in fact when I got up to answer the phone she drink half my glass ( very close to calling the wedding off after that little stunt ). "

It´s fantastic to see the beerflavor is only the second flavor and cherry is the first.
And it´s good in alcohol only under 4%vol.

When I poured it poured a bright red, almost like hawaiin punch, but as it settled it was a dark blood red color. There was about a finger high pink head that disappated quickly. There is little lacing.
It smells very sweet, cherries are dominant, almost like cherry cough drops.
It tastes as sweet as it smells with again cherries dominating. WHat made this kriek great was the great sour note at the end.
Overall, a very good lambic. KornDogg (226), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA
