Gorgeous pink/purple hue with a pink head.
Smells a bit metallic straight after the pour. Aside from this, nice aromas of cherries and hops, belgian yeast. A hint of acid.
Really strong flavours! A mouth-puckering tartness from the cherries, with sour acid and a bit of horse-blanket mustiness. Tastes like a real kriek, though not sure if it has real cherries or just the flavour. These flavours are so strong and awesome. And the funkiness - it’s like an ecosystem in my mouth. More please.

Sorry, but I love this fruitly cherry. It´s fantastic to see the beerflavor is only the second flavor and cherry is the first. And it´s good in alcohol only under 4%vol.

(Bottle into tulip) Like most of these fruit lambics, you really have to be in the mood to have one, and I was ready!! Pours a nice red/ruby color withe a half finger pink head that hung on longer that normal and left strong lacing on the glass. Aroma obviously strong with cherry, but I also detected another sweetness in there.. honey maybe(?) as well as some citrus. The cherries actually reminded me a little of the Luden’s cherry cough drops I had as a kid which is not necessarily a bad thing! The taste was very sweet from the cherries, but they were not overpowerling. A slight bite at the finish reminded you you weren’t drinking juice! Another strong offering from Lindemans.

Poured out a deep red-cranberry color, with a rocky pink head on it. Aroma is strongly of sour cherries, red rose pedals, and sugar-topped cherry pie. Taste kept all these qualities, beautifully. Blatant black cherry with a tangy tartness is most notable and super delicious. Sweet and sour battle it out on the palate amid lively soda-like carbonation. Finishes sweet. I have issues calling this a "beer"...but it’s still dang good.

UPDATED: MAR 24, 2010 Véletlenül tévedtünk a győri John Bull Pub étterembe, de egy megérzés miatt vacsorából jövet éppen itt pihentünk meg, hátha találunk valami különlegeset levezetésként. Jelentem nekem ez meggysör az volt! Mindig is oda voltam a meggymárkáért és egyszerűen szólva az a sör egy erősen prémium meggymárka alkohollal. Már ránézésre is megnyerő a teljességet formáló gömbszerű pohárban kiérkező mélypiros színű ital, a tetején vastag, rózsaszín habbal. Illata a savanykás gyümölcsé. Kortyolva a szénsavasságát fokozza az illatára is jellemző savanykás, de mégis édes meggy aroma. Ez az íz uralkodik és szinte mindent el is nyom maga körül. Ideális desszert helyett vagy mellé. 3,5 % alkohol tartalma végig a háttérben marad, az íze nem is utal rá, hogy ez nem csak egy kitűnő üdítő, hanem igenis egy jól eltalált sör!

Pours a cherry red with a light pink head. The head laces very nicely. Bit of haziness. Really smells like cherries. Perhaps a bit of alcohol, but a really sweet cherry smell. Starts off tart, as one would expect, but the sweet cherries really balance this off well. Just a hint of alcohol for me, but the taste really is wonderful. Light and tart. This is my gateway kriek...I need more!

Good fruit beer, its more a woman drink, i am not that fruit beer drinker. Lindemans has probably the best fruit flavor beers in the world. Combination: flavor and aroma and taste.

Very good. The nose is cherry syrup and tartness. The beer is deep red with a pink head which leaves long lacing. The taste is a wonderful tart cherry. The body is medium thin with just the right tart smack. Good.

I’ve had this several times on draft at BXL in New York. This rating is from a bottle. Personally, I would prefer if this were less sweet. The sour cherry would be more refreshing without it. Very flavorful and works well for a dessert.

Cork top under the cap. Spilled a little bit but not that much. Pours deep dark red with pinkish head. This beer is fantastic. Pretty much taste only the cherries. I’m impressed.
