Awesome taste of cherries and some vinous flavors mixing together. Best kriek i've had yet. SchlossyMcSaus (75), San Marcos, California, USA

Can be imbibed by itself, where I find Leifman’s needing some form of food support. It still carries the odd ’liquified cherry jello’ quality I remember but I am paying more attention to its lingering aftertaste, which I do enjoy. Get it in the 750ml, and split it a friend, I only wish it packed little more ABV. Nuffield (2749), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 14, 2005 I’m having a hard time figuring out why, in the minds of Ratebeerians, this should rate markedly lower than New Glarus Belgian Red. (Different styles in name, of course). What I think happened is that because the sourness is so restrained here, it loses the passionate lambic lovers who want a jolt of sour, but it is still fruity in ways that many "true beer" drinkers find "girly". But I would like to try a blind side-by-side. The aroma is excellent--a massive Luden’s (brand name) cherry cough drop gives way when swirling to a woody and somewhat cork-like note, suggesting just a moderate traditional lambic quality. Lots of black cherry. Good color, somewhat hazy and bountifully red (though not glowing, somehow, perhaps it was just my economizing 60 watt lightbulbs); adequate frothy head. This was so easy drinking, I virtually got to the point of wanting to "chug" it, though I held back in restraint. The cherry flavors filled the mouth, along with a quite silky, sweet mouth-coating quality. There was so little alcohol it wasn’t even funny. When will someone brew an Imperial Kriek for me? Very little tartness but not so overwhelming with sweetness either. Sure, I would like more sourness and some barnyard in there, but still this is very good drinking. After starting out with the beer, it joined a nice dinner and it went well (curiously) with some 5-cheese garlic bread that I was eating with my spagetti dinner. This was the Valentine’s Day 2005 gift to me from my wife and my two kids...my 4.5 year old picked it out among the four Lindeman’s bottles on offer in Texas because she liked the pretty red metal covering the bottle. Thank you to my wonderful family! I love you so much! Reid (1093), Salem, Oregon, USA

In appearance dark red , almost purple Lambic, light pink head..dense and bubbly.
Very pleasant aroma of wild black cherry, slightly sherberty,
Starts sweet cherry creme , then I get the tartness..ends very sour and very nice !!
Lovelly on the palte..very smooth and not overcarbonated, even creamy at times.

Interesting taste (very sweet from start to finish). Cherries are almost overpowering sometimes. The only complaint I have about this beer is that it seemed to have a soapy nose. I'll just have to try it again to make sure it wasn't my glass! SecretSquirrel (20), Sheffield, England

Worth a try, definately - although I think if I were to drink more than one bottle, I would have serious acid indigestion from the strong cherry flavour. Not to be confused with silly teenager's alcopops however, this is a real beer, not just alcoholic cherryade. Certainly interesting and pretty reasonable for those "I fancy something different" moments. 5000 (2900), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 2, 2004 Bottle pours dark ruby (grape juice like) with a milky pink head & sticky lacing. Heavy cherry aroma, somewhat like an autobody paint shop (in a good way). Perhaps moreso like a Cherry Jolly Rancher... YEAH, thats it! Taste is smooth, not overly cherry. This is actually better than I thought it would be. Finish is smooth, slightly tart, but not offensive. This is rather enjoyable.
