Super rich, glowing, ruby red color with a fluffy pinkish-purpley head that foamed up fast to about an inch high and faded to a solid skim always present and leaves some patchy stings of pink lace. Smell is all cherry, wild black and red cherry abounds, fresh and solid tartness, sour, and oaky sweet, pungent and pefumey pleasant nose. Much like a good lambic should be. Taste brings out the cherryness right from out of the smell with a smooth and soothing coat of mild cherry of the black variety mostly. Tame and steardy mellow tart and souring, nothing to lip puckering a bit of the sweet oakyness comes through in the middle part of the finish which then ends in a nice little mellow tangy bite. This stuff is incredibly mellowing smooth and a great after dinner sipper. Feel is zippy and fresh, melts away all senses of what may have lingered before as it fully charges the mouth with mellow tart and sourness with its cherry crammed full bodied. My oh my what a treat. The low ABV means there's just no stoppin' til the cork stops poppin'.

UPDATED: FEB 17, 2006 Alright so it reminded me of cherry fizzies( if your old enough to remember those) but is smooth, creamy soft but tart, creamy cheery taste. Its a good beer to start rookies on their journey away from pee-yellow beer

poured a beautiful dark red color with a nice fluffy pink head that dissipated quickly leaving little lacing. aromas consisted of black cherry and licorice. flavor was ripe sweet cherry with a nice tart aftertaste. very pleased. will defintely purchase again even though it’s a bit pricey (about $5 for a 12oz. bottle).

Pours off red color with off reddish white thin head (pink). Nice bubbles. Lace retains well. On the nose this beer seduces with a gourmet dessert-like sour cherry aroma. Cherry-vanilla icing on a German blackforest cake perhaps. Hard to beat. On the palate is a mouth puckering rich sour dark cherry bomb that sets you back in your seat. Wow this is a flavorful beer. Finish is tangy sweet, cherry of course, and very appetizing for the next sip.

UPDATED: FEB 22, 2012 Pours fizzy dark pink with a large light pink head. Smells exclusively of cherries. Taste follows the nose perfectly; cherries with a hint of maltiness and slight tartness. Light-bodied with a prickly texture and lots of carbonation; Lindemans Kriek finishes with a slight astringency and fruitiness.

This is tasty. You don’t notice the cherry til you’ve completed your sip. Very nice.

An excellent addition to Thanksgiving or Christmas turkey dinner! Its alcohol content is low, so drink it for the taste.

UPDATED: APR 29, 2003 WONDERFUL STUFF! Tasted sort of like cherry wine. This is my first lambic so I don't really know what they are supposed to taste like, but this was really good. I will be buying this for special occasions.

This beer has a very cherry taste to it. However, it tastes much more like a cider than a beer. This is my first kriek or lambic so i don't know if that how they are supposed to taste.
