Poured a deep, purplish-red with a pink, fizzy head. Aroma is all fruit, dominated by cherries of course. Taste is sweet and sour cherry candy with some slight hints of malt and wheat. It’s certainly good, but nothing more than a novelty act for this beer drinker.

Aromat to głównie słodkie wiśnie oraz nieco nut winnych i drożdżowych, bardzo przyjemny. Barwa wiśniowa, piana średnioobfita, ale gęsta, kremowa w kolorze jasnoróżowym. W smaku to połaćzenie soku wiśniowego, wina i typowych nut belgijskich dzikiej fermentacji - głównie nut kwaśnych. Nasycenie srednie, goryczki praktycznie brak, ale piwo jest pełne w smaku, gęste, kremowe wręcz. Bardzo dobre. Warka do 20.01.2016r.

Bue en bouteille de 37,5cl. Couleur rouge violacé beaucoup trop intense pour être honnête... Arômes de cerises (chimiques) et goût beaucoup trop sucré avec une pointe de cerise en final. Mal fait et pas bon.

Appearance: deep ruby red, with an absurdly bright pink head of fizzy bubbles that pop aggressively like champagne. Aroma: tart pulped cherries, sparkling apple cider, hint of tootsie roll and leather. Taste: cherry jolly rancher candies, tart apples and dry champagne, bit of vanilla. Finish: lingering sweet/tart interplay, balanced by a lovely dryness. Notes: One of my favorite lambics. Some find it overly sweet, and it is indeed on the sweet side, but there is a nice tart dryness to the beer as well.

Pours clear dark cherry red, with a medium pink head, very fine lacing, very good retention. Strong cherry candy aroma, with a very light biscuit note. Medium-light body, crisp. Mildly sweet, lingering medium sour, almost no bitterness.

Bottle (as Foudroyante Kriek). A clear deep red colour with a medium high, fizzy pink head. An aroma of marzipan and cherries. The taste is medium sweet.

Bottle from Carrefour, Nice. Red with a very small bubbly head. Plenty of cherry in nose and taste and slightly soured.

Do not think of this as a beer, although the body that comes from the beer prevent this from being to sweet,,, it IS However sweet... For me the robustness of the lambic shines through and makes it a very enjoyable drink. Much better than many craft beer attempts on this mix of lambic with fruit.

Easily the most famous and most popular of the Lindemans products, certainly in Belgium. An archetypical ’sweet kriek lambic’ with lots of sugar, cherry juice and extracts, and limited lambic character, though still very recognisable in subdued woodiness, very faint funkiness and subtle lactic and citric acidity. Beautiful red colour and pink head (revealing the fact that extracts have been applied) and elegant glass, I can understand why many people (especially ladies, without wanting to be a male chauvinist) like this, but too sweet for my tooth. And to think that I have even seen a few old ladies adding grenadine to it... The horror!
