smells pretty, looks pretty. candy, cherries, sweet tarts. but yuck, this is NOT what beer is all about. entirely too sticky sweet. but hey, if you want a wine cooler, have this instead.

Bottle poured into a flute glass. It pours with a clear reddish hue and a pink head that dissipated quickly. The aroma was like cherry cough syrup, while the flavor was sour cherries. It has a very light body, with a fizzy tongue feel and a dry finish.

Not for me. I like a good kriek lambic to be sour funky and tasting of the cherries it was rested on in the barrel. This one has added cherry juice, flavoring and way too much sugar. It is a nice lemonade. Might go well with a creamy dessert.

37.5cl Bottle from AH. Clear deep red colour, pink head. Aroma of sweet cherry, marzipan, blueberries. Flavour is sweet, cherries, cassis, marzipan, light sourness in the finish. Light bodied. Low ABV version of Kasteel Rouge. Nice.

25 cl. bottle poured in to a Flute. Lovely deep red colour with a dense, pink head. Sweet aroma with marzipan, artificial sweetener, cherries, juice and faint yeasty notes. Taste is sweet. Medium body with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes sweet with cherries, juice and only a faint acidic note. Lacks Lambic character to be good. A bit of a disappointment - the Cassis version was far better.

Bottle from local AH. Slightly hazy dark red coloured, with a medium pink head. Nose is sour and sweet cherry, cherry candy. Flavour is fairly sweet cherry, later more sour cherry. Very fruity. High carbonation.

Dark red colour with pinky head. Aroma is gorgeous with cherry, some other fruity notes. Flavours are the same, firstly with slightly sweet notes, which immediately transforms to sourness. Dry finish with low carbonation.

Pours a beautiful, dark red color, with a bubbly, pinkish head. Smells of sweetened, marmelade cherries, with no hints of funk or tartness at all. Has a refreshing, light-bodied taste to it, which begins sparkling and finishes a bit more smooth. Tastes of ripe sour cherries, revealing an acidic, refreshing component, while staying very sweet overall. Marmelade overrules the citraic tartness, resulting in a ripe cherry taste, with not too much depth to it. The carbonation adds a slightly metallic aspect to the beer, which is throughout easy drinkable. A bit too one-dimensional for what I am expecting in a kriek lambic. The sourness is not prominent enough, hindering any subtle notes to unfold, leading to a rich, but too sweet cherry taste, with nothing else going on.
