Only available straight from cask at the brewery or in a very few traditional pubs in the direct neighborhood of Vlezenbeek.

Attention! This is not the bottled 1996 vintage to be found in Swedish Systembolaget or in speciality shops in Belgium. If you had "Lindemans Oude Lambik 1996 Vintage" or "Lindemans Loeierik", then you have to enter a rating for "Lindemans Oude Lambik (Loerik)".

Please note the age of the sample you are reviewing when entering your rating. While many factors determine whether you have had "Jonge" or "Oude" Lambik, a general rule of thumb is to enter 1 year-old or older lambik under "Lindemans Oude Lambik" and anything less than 6 months-old under "Lindemans Jonge Lambik".

For those between 6 and 12 months of age, you should take in to consideration the character of the lambik. Samples presenting themselves as hazy/cloudy, with some head-formation and residual sugar should be entered as "Jonge Lambik", while those that are drier, higher in clarity and with little/no head formation should be entered as "Oude Lambik".

[9/20/15] Cask at In de Verzekering tegen de Grote Dorst in Eizeringen. Cloudy golden. Aroma of funk, cobwebs, cellar, and a buttery touch. Rather dry flavor, sourish, with a light sweetish hint, citrus, funk, oak. Quite light-bodied. Very nice and refreshing, but still a bit too young.

1.5 years old, at the Lambic museum. Hazy dark gold with no head, classic lemony nose and body, faint hints of cheese, simple and refreshing.

Tap@tuulensuu. Golden hazy, light orange. Wheaty malty npse. Some peach, ripe pineapple. Yeastyness on nose. Tart dry finish. Pale malts, light funk, farmhouse straw. Bit dull, more horse after a white though, but overall dissapointing.

Tap @ Gastropub Tuulensuu, Tampere. Pours a hazy, opaque, light orange with a fairly large, white head. Aroma is bile and sour. Taste is sour, appleskin. Short aftertaste. Not very mouth puckering. Light with strong carbonation. Good drink, but on lambic scale not very impressive.

On draft at Toer De Geuze 2015. 2 years old is what I was told. Orange with a foamy head. Weardly enough it’s containing carbonatoin. Little bit of lemon, tarty sour, misses the big taste of other lambieks I’ve had earlier this day (Timmermans, De Cam, Oud Beersel). Certainly not bad.

Small sample from bottle at Camping Ratebeer ’14. Pours hazy orange/golden without any head. Aroma has quite some sweetness, some fruitiness and barnyard. Taste is soft sour with quite some sweetness, fruitiness and a slightly dry finish. Medium body, soft carbo.
