12 oz. glass bottle- color of clear gold, with a ton of sedement, with a white colored head - nose of peaches, some sourness, and candied sweetness – taste of sweet and sour peaches, nice and tart, and robust- body is full smooth, and with medium carbonation – aftertaste of dried apricot, sweet, and tart

Bottle from Delerium Cafe, Brussels. Nose of peach. Pours an opaque peach colour. Some dryness and vinous quality. Peach taste lingers with sweetness.

Clear yellow color with a nice, frosty head. Smells of Belgium yeast, peaches and apples. Flavor is definitely fruity - lots of peach for sure. Actually tastes and sits on the palate like apple juice does. I am still trying to get used to Lambics - still a bit too much fruit for me. I can pick up quite easily that this is a Lambic fruit beer - but it just seems overly sweet. Reminds me of champagne in a way - although much, much less carbonation - but there is a flavor in this that reminds me of it - it is that dry sweetness to it.
Re-rate: Ugh! Fruit crap! Way too much. Over the top and generic and crappy. Bad representation of the style.

Aroma – Nice thick sweet aroma. The fruit was very nicely fermented.
Appearance – Dark golden color lots of fermentation bubbles and no head.
Flavor – Tons of fruit flavor this was smooth and easy to drink a great way to end the year and start 2008.
Palate – Nice Mouthfeel, great texture with a nice dry finish.
Overall – A very nice easy to drink Lambic this was a great drink and easy on the body for the night of heavy drinking.

Tiny 25cl bottle from La Diable Rouge in Lyon. Pours a bright orangey gold with a white head. Great big peach aroma with a hint of breadiness underneath. Not really sour, more like a peach soft drink (given the low alcohol content) but wonderfully drinkable. Would be great for a summer picnic. I love the art deco label too.

Pours a clear bubbly orange to gold with a bright white head. Slight funkiness in the nose with just a hint of vinegar and a lot of juicy peach aroma. Taste is sweet and sour peach with just a hint of funky yeast and even less of a beer like malt backdrop. Tartness helps balance it to keep it short of cloying, but it could still be a bit less sweet overall. Comes off much like a peach spritzer with a nice bubbly body, that is easy to drink.

Tastes like a really bad, feline urine flavored italian soda..... very thin to the palate and overly sweet for a lambic. Sad, people. Sad. I think I’m going to develop a yeast infection from this.

My rating is somewhat skewed, as I’m a lambic fan. This is one of my favorites - not too sweet or fruity, but well-balanced and with a great finish. A little insubstantial in terms of alcohol, but that’s really a secondary focus of the beer. The balance is what is key here, and it’s nicely done.
