Silphium (2114), Haslett, Michigan, USA Nov 18, 2007 Snifter. Murky apricot body, thin off-white head. Sour, funky peach nose. Extremely sweet, sugary body, with light funky peach notes. Plays it safe. It would be fun to try a more "extreme" version. EKGoldings (447), Radford, Virginia, USA Nov 18, 2007 Purchased in an ordinary grocery store. More Lambic character than the Kriek, where cherry overpowers everything else. Seems more apple taste than peach, but the peach does come through. Most of these fruit flavored lambics by Lindemans have excellent fruit character but are on the cloying side of sweet. But they work pretty well with food. Suttree (2701), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Nov 16, 2007 Um, yeah. Like the other Lindemans Lambic, it smells fine - like peaches, but really fresh peaches. Here, as always, is the deal - its just too sweet. Very cloying, artificial, tooth achy sweet. And I’m not one to bitch about pricing, but come on man. Thank God I didn’t pay for it, but I feel orry for the guy that did... checkmatei1 (629), Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 8, 2007 This was a delicious blend of Peaches and beer. It has a great peach aroma, mix with some floral scents. The taste was more like a sour apple juice. Overall, this is always one my special treats to myself. NachlamSie (1630), Tennessee, USA Nov 7, 2007 A very over priced bottle. I have to say I was really looking forward to drinking this and ripping into it. I have developed a bias against the Linemans line after my encounter with their cherry soda. I was basically expecting peach soda out of this. But I’m going to be honest here, it does actually have some beer qualities. The pour is pretty standard: semi-cloudy gold with a tiny head. I bring the snifter to my nose and lo and behold, I detect beer! I do notice a bit of that lambic funk going on, just buried hints of sour fruit escape the peach onslaught. The flavor is a different story. Imagine opening a can of peaches by poking holes in the top then draining out the peach juice into a glass. It’s pretty close to that. This is basically pure peach juice in the way of flavor. I am thankful that the overbearing, artificial soda flavor of the kriek is not present here. This is fruity and sweet, but not punishingly so. My teeth feel like they may survive this ordeal. What makes me really angry is the price tag and marketing of this product. This is basically peach juice, especially at the 2.5 %. Why would I spend 7 dollars on peach juice? Why would I travel to an establishment other than an ordinary grocery store to purchase this stuff? This is not disgusting, but this is definitely not a true lambic. I don’t usually care for fruit beers, but I can respect some that still resemble beer. What is the point of making this a Lambic? The same thing could be done by just adding peach concentrate to a golden ale. Beerdedone (1873), Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 4, 2007 Bottle sampled. Pours a hazy orange with a small off-white head. Aroma of peaches, wheat malt, and yeast. Flavor is sweet and fruity with peaches, oak, and tartness with a dry fruity peach finish. Dedollewaitor (3622), Odense, Denmark Nov 1, 2007 This was way better than expected. Golden orange wtih a fine head & lacings. Fruity sweet peach in the aroma with just a pleasant sour note. Very fruity taste with a good amount of sour to balance the high sweetness. alobar (1006), Harleysville, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 24, 2007 Sweet! With just a bit of sourness. Thick, white head. Aroma of peaches. Prevalent peach taste. Like juice, but for the carbonation.
