Enjoyit (1695), Vadum, Denmark Mar 18, 2007 Golden of color with a white head. A very typical peach aroma with some sour notes. Suprise!!! It taste as a peach? why?!! some sweet notes in the flavor too and it has some hops in the finish. MesandSim (5790), London, Greater London, England Mar 14, 2007 A Mes rate:
Bottle from the Volunteer. I think this one gets slated a lot because of its low abv but the only thing it doesnt do is get you drunk. It smells good, looks ok, tastes good and has that typical slight prickle in the palate that all Lindemans beers have. To be honest the appearance is almost a 4. Glorious head and a peachy colour. A delicate sourness and dry finish give you that lambic character you wanted. There is not much going on other than peach but it is all just so seamless and natural. Ok it may not be a regular purchase for us beer dorks but I fail to see how anyone can have a taste of this and not find it enjoyable unless you hate peach. Come to think of it, I HATE peach and even I like it. It’s good. :) Magicdave6 (5383), London, Greater London, England Mar 11, 2007 Aroma is peachy some flemish sour blood like metallic notes. Taste is really sweet again more flemish notes than lambic notes. A heavly sweetened lambic that i won t be having again. shigadeyo (2210), Harrison, Ohio, USA Mar 5, 2007 My wife doesn’t really enjoy many beers, but she really likes sweet and fruity beers such as lambics (and I know she loves the Lindeman’s Framboise) so I got her a bottle of the Lindeman’s Peche Lambic for Valentine’s Day...
The initial pour revearls a clear, golden color with a frothy, off-white, beige head and eventually fades to fluffy cream. Peach dominates the aroma with some wheat and sour yeast in the background. The flavor begins with wonderful sweet (without being overly sweet) and ripe peaches and becomes slightly tart toward the somewhat dry finish. The finish has a subtly spicy and crisp hop flavor. The mouthfeel is smooth and has a nice creaminess (probably from the oak aging). The carbonation is lively, but not fizzy like soda. Everything about this lambic is very well balanced and delightfully fresh. I would probably take the Lindeman’s Peach over the Raspberry!
After the first few glasses I decided to get the yeast mixed up into the beer from the bottom of the lambic. The resulting pour was a cloudy/murky peach color and a frothy off-white head (tinge of pink in the color). The aroma was still fresh peaches, but now had some yeasty complexity to it. The flavor began peachy and had some tart/sour wheat in the finish. Medium bodied and smooth. Very good.
750 mL bottle from Jungle Jim’s.
millysdaddy (67), Alexandria, Virginia, USA Mar 3, 2007 12 oz. bottle. Pours a cloudy orange-yellow with a very small white head. Aromas of peach (of course), caramel and spice. A really nice, slightly tart, peach flavor followed by yeast and wheat. Yummy. EHSRanders (1121), Randers C, Denmark Mar 3, 2007 Bottle. Peachy aroma. Golden colour with small white head. Sweet flavor with a lot of peach. rmussman (905), California, USA Mar 1, 2007 A wonderful lambic. Aroma is great, like peach cobbler. Appearance is more beer like than other Lambics as it has a nice thin lacey head and light brown hue. Mouthfeel is a little tart. Flavor is excellent with tones of peach and an apricot after taste. FastEddie (178), Louisville, Kentucky, USA Feb 28, 2007 White foam, peachy aroma. Nice and sweet, drinkable, goes down easy. Good if you want something cold and sweet.
