Pours a golden orange clear color body with an average whitish head, quickly diminishing. Aroma of strong carbonated peaches, fresh from a can-like. Some effervescence, and soda likeness. Sweet syrupy taste, peaches and sugar. Carbonation. Refreshing. Doesn’t pair necessarily well with spicy pizza. weaselkenievil (738), Cheshire, England Jul 8, 2009 Orange colour, off white head. Sweet and peachy, white wine notes. I don’t like peach so it’s one of those that I really can’t give an educated opinion on. Then again, I struggle to give an educated opinion on anything. So I wasn’t really impressed. There are better out there. It’s peachy. Pinball (2685), Allerød, Denmark Jul 8, 2009 25cl bottle, from belgisk øl in helsinge.
dark orange, thick offwhite head
aroma of sour beer and fresh but ripe peaches.
flavor is sour, sweetened, some peach, some bitterness.
palate is quite full.
overall i think i got a little too much bitterness, and i also missed a more pronounced peach flavor. and it was a little too sweet. still, quite a good one. IDunno19 (78), Ames, Iowa, USA Jul 7, 2009 Pours a peachy orange/gold color with an off-white head. Nose full of peach malt and oaky wood. DELICIOUS fruity palate covered in peach, light malt, and citrus. Lambics are a new adventure but I’m sure the hell enjoying it... markwise (1132), 15 Minutes from Kuhnhenn in, Florida, USA Jul 6, 2009 Pours caramel/ peach brown with a small white head. Nose is sugared peach juice, with a ton of sugary sweetness. Flavor is same- lots of sugary peaches. Light bodied and lingering sweetness. Immy (1912), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA Jul 4, 2009 355ml corked and capped bottle. Apple juice pour with no head. Peachy nose, some apple notes, light wisps of wheat. Big, sweet peach flavor, light and zippy. lingering setzery peach finish. Did I mention it’s peachy? I may just mix this with some iced tea just to see... still, a sweet, fun summertime cooler of a beer. DerWeg (748), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 21, 2009 A real lambic heavy in natural, very ripe peach taste... ultimately quite syrupy on a full stomach but still quality for the simple style. Big peach aroma and flavor, perfumey, underlying lambic tartness, a bit candy-ish, could not finish LOL! Wish I could blend in some of the powerful Rosé de Gambrinus I unfortunately dumped out in early May - for me that middle ground would probably work.
