Autumn sun appearance with a fluffy head that settles into a crisp film. Syrupy peach rewards the nose and a superb peach taste satisfies the palate. Lightly salty, sour, and tart--qualities blending well with the wheat--this is a winner. A fabulous dessert beer that numbs the palate with peachiness. The sourness waters the palate. Bottle, at Benny. Yellow with white head, nice lacings. White head, quickly gone. Sweet aroma and flavor, acidic finish. Like Duchesse de Bourgogne added sweet peche and apple. 3-3-2-3-6/1,7. Terminus (1955), Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 4, 2005 Gold with a very thin head only around the rim. Aroma on mine was yeast like, but the taste jumps out with tons of peach and apple. Aftertaste is sweet and full of sugar and does beg for another sip. Tasty lambic in my book. fordest (1954), Santee/San Diego, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 16, 2005 750 ml bottle from Mr. Liquor. Hazy golden pour with a bright white, fine head. Lacing all the way down the glass. Aromas of peach, lemon, and vanilla. Flavors of peach, peach, and some sour peach. Malty notes on the finish as well. Not bad if you want sweet. I just tried the cassis the other day, and I am done with sweet for awhile. MilkmanDan (1940), Eagan, Minnesota, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 20, 2002 Best part of this one is the aroma, with a huge blast of peach and some sourness. Looks like a pale ale, no peach-colored foam to speak of, which is a mite disappointing. Initial flavor is a heady blast of peach, with an interesting finish that’s largely reminiscent of cookies and muffins. Very drinkable and enjoyable, but miss the sour kick you get from kriek and framboise. tronraner (1939), Seymour, Tennessee, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 1, 2006 Bottle. Pours hazy orange with a surprisingly attractive white head. The aroma is very similar to peach iced tea, but with a strong background of dank, musty cellar. The flavor is only mildly sour, and there is a very clear fresh peach flavor. There’s quite a bit of fruity sweetness, actually. If I concentrate I can pick up some grainy notes, and there is a bit of wood in the finish. But this really needs some more funk or something to counter the sweet peach-soda feel it has. Still very quaffable, though. MrRomero (1934), Nolanville, Texas, USA
