Pours a rich gold with a modest head; the aroma is dominated by peach syrup, with some sour apples and vinegar beneath and hints of lambic funkiness below that. The flavor is dominated by sweet peach candy (think peach Jolly Rancher) but the tartness from the lambic adds an interesting twist: the beer ends up tasting surprisingly much as if it was made from apricots rather than peaches. In addition to the peach/apricot, we get a whisper of pineapple, some gently sour notes and a faint hint of the funky lambic yeasts.
The beer is certain on the sweet side, but this works tolerably well for the peach flavor and so - as long as one knows what one is getting into - the beer is pleasant enough. carruthm (1187), Seattle, Washington, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 30, 2009 Wonderful aroma, buckthorn and peach and even some mango. Paler colour than I expected, with a tiny white head. Very good, although and excessive sugary and sour flavour pulls through. Sour finish. Hopistotle420 (1178), Amherst, Massachusetts, USA
