3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 wetherel (1837) - Encinitas, USA - JUL 2, 2007
Bottle from Takanaya in Tokyo. OK, I hate myself when I rate Lindemans. I have a terrible sweet tooth, so I am biased when rating sweeter beer. I also don’t like using the word beer for Lindemands, maybe beersoda is better. Pours yellow with hint of orange. I would expect a redder tea color for this beer. Little or no head. Aroma of sugar and lemon. Not bad, maybe a little nice, because of the refreshing cleaness of the aroma. Taste is very sweet, whoa. Sourness is very mild, don’t expect a gueze. OK, I did it. I rated it only a 3.3, which is less than 7 of the highest raters. Great. My Japanese mother in law loves it, and calls it better than Still Naught.

Bottle. Pours brownish amber. White head. Little brown floaters. Nose of old tea, cinnamon and nutmeg. Pleasant. Taste is a bit abrasive with tons of artificial sugar, tea, cinnamon and nutmeg. Short almost nonexistent finish. Lightish body.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Koelschtrinker (7060) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUN 11, 2011

Bottle with a best before date of 28Jan2012 thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a hazed yellow body-orange body (not a very pretty hue) with a quick to fade white head. Aromas of lemon, sweetened green tea (Liptons type cheap stuff sold in soda bottles), a bit of funk, honey comb and cake icing. Flavors of SWEET. Wow, really sweet. Sort of ice tea (mass market) like, but sweet. A bit of lemon, and a lot of sweetness. Not a malty sweetness, a sugary one. Like most Lindemans beers, I feel like I might get diabetus from this, but unlike the other ones, the flavor really isn’t nauseating. A strange concoction. Beer cocktail like.

8th October 2006 Warning! Early amateur rating! Very strong tasting zesty lemon and lambic sharpness. The tea is quite subtle. Nice refreshing beer.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 mkel07 (1816) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - JUN 14, 2010
250ml bottle. Very flat with no carbonation and no head, only a light sprinkle of bubbles around the rim. Cloudy brown tea colour with the aroma of cold tea with lime added to it. Quite flavoursome given that it doesn’t look that great. Surprising burst of spritziness in he mouth, very different.
