4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Backlogged rating from several months ago. On draft at Beer Revolution. It pours a hazy brownish orange with an off white head. The aroma is toast, cocoa, and soft oakiness with light notes of plum and raisin bread. The flavor is bourbon, caramel, oak, and a little vanilla up front followed by raisins and very mild cocoa. More nutty barrel near the finish. All the flavors are subtle and in balance, but make for a powerful combo. Really nice. I’m excited to see where Linden Street goes in the future with these experimental beers.
