Bottle (purchased to-go from Nuerberger Alm, sampled in my apartment). Head is initially large, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is clear light yellow. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted bread), lightly yeasty (cobwebs), with a notes of banana, gum, pepper, clove, Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/velvety texture, lively carbonation. Very easy to like...nice balance of banana and pepper/clove in the nose, which is sorta required in my book. Pretty nice malt character too. Nice flavor balance rounds it out...not mind-blowing for me but definitely solid.

# 3207 ersma: die heimseite der brauerei sieht aus wie vom praktikanten programmiert. brr. aber immerhin liegt die brauerei am fünf-seidla-steig. pilsfarben und marginal trübe. recht schaumarm. der geruch ist säuerlich mit zitrusnote. der antrunk ist sehr perlig (das paradoxon hat mir neulich einer erklärt - viele perlen, aber kaum schaum. hab die begründung aber wieder vergessen). hefe, zitrus, säuerliche noten. die mitte bleibt hefig, dazu getreidige töne und etwas hopfen. der abgang wird herber, hefe und zitrus bleiben bestimmend. die für weißbier ungewöhnliche 0.5-l-plopp-pulle ist konservativ bis altbacken gestaltet und, da kein rücketikett vorhanden ist, entsprechend zugeballert mit mhd, inhalts- und sonstigen angaben. fazit: recht sauer und daher keine große trinkfreude. 6,8,7,7,5,7 - 6,95 - 26/2/13

(bottle) pours a murky golden colour with a frothy white head and lots of yeast chunks. aroma of green banana, wheat and earth, slightly medicinal, with a hint of caramel. flavour is mostly wheat and caramel, slightly toasty, with a hint of peaches and a slightly minerally finish. medium-bodied with fizzy carbonation.

heavily cloudy orange-gold body with a tall-building rocky white head. bubble gum and sweet banana esters in the nose with vibrant and lively citrus-like acids and esters. lightly musty and tart lactic acidity with a wonderfully creamy and soft full body. rich and many-layered, zesty and fresh, prickly and lively phenolics combine with creamy and soft carbonation and a creamy, full and round texture. a very comforting beer, and one of the best weizens I’ve had in years.

500ml bottle. Hazy golden colour with huge, frothy, foamy, lasting, white head. Fruity, wheaty aroma, notes of banana and peach. Taste is minimally tart fruity, apple, a touch of husk; soft palate, average carbonation.

Pours slight hazy golden with a thin white head. Nose and flavor are banana, grain and light malt. Dry finish.

Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!
Ins Glas gegossen, kommt das Weizen sehr hell daher, anfangs kaum trüb. Es schöumt sehr stark auf und extrem viel CO2 steigt empor. Es duftet hefig fruchtig, nach Orange. Der Antrunk erfolgt sehr spritzig fruchtig, leicht säuerlich und minimal hefig. Orangig im Nachgeschmack. Dieses Weizen ist mir fast schon ne Spur zu säuerlich, aber an nem heissen Sommertag wie heute schmeckts doch sehr lecker!

Bananiger, etwas säuerlicher Beginn. Im Mittelteil vielleicht etwas flach, die Bitterkeit ist zwar nicht übermäßig stark, ist aber dennoch am stärksten. Später wieder hefiger, wenig süß, stimmig. OK. 9/8/9/8/7/8

flip top bottle... ugly dark honey gold body, biggish off white head, ok retention no lace... ok but nothing new going on the nose, graham cracker crust, light clove, and yogurt... taste is flat, flavorless and boring, a bit more of that graham cracker, off metallic finish, just a sub par hefe
