Malty aroma and flavor. Just hints of hop shimmering through. Hint of boiled milk. Just a bit dirty palate. Slight bitter aftertaste.

Herb und recht würzig startet das Bier, hinterlässt allerdings im Mittelteil durch den deutlichen metallernen und zeitweilig auch säuerlichen Ton keinen guten Eindruck. Insgesamt wirkt das Bier disharmonisch und unfertig. Unterdurchschnittlich. Test vom 29.3.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,6,7,6,7,6 - 6,60

From tap at the brewpub. It’s golden with a creamy, white head and the aroma has notes of an ongoing brew process, but in a nice way, breand and straw. The flavour is slightly sweet with notes of newly-harvested grain, bread, straw, and the finish is dry and a little bitter.

(bottle) Clear, golden colour with a blond mid-sized foamy head. Slightly sweet malty aroma with a good dash of citric and flowery hops. Bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a crispy carbonation. Soft malty base with a rounded touch of aroma hops; bitter-sweet malty and pleasantly hoppy finish. Clear medium yellow orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, hay, toasted, light hoppy, grass. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20100403]

Bottle (Landbierdealer, Hof): Golden coloured, fluffy white head, that laces and diminishes slowly; clean sweet-malty nose with a strong touch of floral hoppiness; full bitter-sweet flavour, mainly malty body, soft MF; quite aromatic, lingering bitter finish. A very good one, reminds me of a good Bohemian Pilsener........
