Now we’re getting somewhere. The first three, lighter Linden’s brews are rather weak, but this one has a good roast nuttiness, like slightly charred almonds, and decent hop edges. A big upgrade from its three ugly stepsisters.

Cracker-like malt. Dry, bread-like, puckering bitterness in the finish. Sounds bad, but I actually enjoyed it a little in a sick sorta way. Yeah, I tasted the ’charred almonds,’ as hennes writes, now that I think about it. Nice observation.
