Nesten helt svart med høyt lysbrunt skum. Sterk aroma med røstet kaffe sammen med sterke fruktige nyanser. Smaker kaffe sammen med noen treaktige toner. Bitter grapefrukt mot slutten. Litt vannaktig munnfølelse.

Deep copper body with a quite large, creamy, long-lived, tan head that leaves a good amount of foam on the glass. Rather strong aroma of slightly burnt malt, coffee, ash and fruits. Nothing special here, but the flavour is much more interesting. It starts out as expected with dark roasted notes, ash and coffee, but then lots of lovely hoppy notes pops up in the finish: I get tropical fruits, grapefruit and pine. It’s far away from a BIPA, but it’s definitely hoppier than many porters. And also more ashy and less chocolatey than many beers of this style. The taste is light sweet and the long-lasting (surprisingly hoppy) finish is moderate to light bitter. Mid-bodied, dry on the palate, moderate carbonation. Brilliant!

Really great porter! Loads of coffee, well balanced, silky feeling and dark roasted malty flavors.

Pours dark brown, almost black, with a decent dark-tan head. The aromas are roasted grain, smoke, coffee, liquorice and burnt bread. The taste is moderately sweet, and quite bitter. The mouthfeel is a bit thin as you’d expect from a low-strength beer of this variety, and the carbonation is medium.

Flaske fra meny Vågsbygd. Mørk brun, uklar fsrge. Lys beige skumtopp. Smaker mørkbrent malt, røyk, lakris, kaffe. Veldig god porter til å være butikkøl. En fornøyelig overaskelse
