COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Quite good, but not very good. Notes of IPA, but also christmas spices and an oily and nice texture.

0,5l bottle. 2014. Red,brown. Minimal white head. Strong aroma of hops. Fresh, astringent flavour of hops, but more pilsner than pale ale. Far from what I associate with an Xmas brew. More refreshing and light than most metallic Norwegian pilsner, though. Disappointing Xmas brew, alright for a hoppy pilsner or pale ale.

Gylden brun noe tåkete med fingerhøyt beige skum. Lukter syrlige røde bær og noe nøtter. Søt smak, bringebær, med noe bittrrhet og en del krydder.

Pours deep mahogany with a fairly good tan head that lasts. Aromas are malt, yeast, cocoa, and spices, as well as some caramel and brown sugar. The taste is somewhat sweet. The mouthfeel is a bit thin, and the carbonation is medium-low. Lindesnes Juleøl feels like a watered down version of Nøgne Ø’s God Jul, and would make a great beer if they didn’t opt for a <4.7% variety.

0.5l bottle from Meny Oslo City. It clearly smells like a Christmas ale this. In the glass it has a deep dark brown colored, not black at all more murky-ish. It also has a big bright ideas lacing head. Really nice chocolaty aromas here, cocoa and mild vanilla-ish spices. Yeah, I kinda like it. Slightly acidic flavors. It’s mild oily in the mouth and it had a soft prickling carbonation level. Again, mild chocolate in the taste. Not overly spicy in any way but it has a mild cardamom hint. Yeah, moreish and quite good. I’ll be having this again someday. 23.05.2014

19.02.2014. 0,5l Bottle. Spesialbutikken Vaaland, Bryne. Dark brown amber colour. Very nice a little unclear deep colour with pale off-white head. Aroma is first very sweet malty and lots of yeast. Gets softer but there is still lots of sweetness and brown sugar. Caramel and toffee as well. A little to sweet overall. Yeastyness gets better after a couple of sips. Not as rich as I expected from the aroma and the colour. Probably because it lacks alcohol, abv only 4,7%. Aftertaste is very smooth with nice malty tones and soft tender bitterness.

Clear medium brown color with a small to average, open and frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, keller, earthy. Flavour is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration, spicy. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20140118]

Bottle from Meny Alna enjoyed at home
Dark brown/red, nice tanned head. Smells of raisins, dark malts, fruity esters, some smoked malts. Moderate sweet, nice hints of nuts and raisins, some fruity notes, nice malts. Quite dry mouthfeel, quite lively carbonation. Nice seasonal
