Shared bottle at Cardinal. Dark amber in colorwith a small tan head. Aromas of pellet fodder for animals and some faint toasted malts in the background. Flavors of green apples and malts. The beer has clear signs of stressed yeast during fermentation. Lindesnes still has a lot to learn...

0.5 L bottle purchased @Varnaveien Mineralvann, Moss. A slow gusher, leaving a massive lightly tanned head, atop a translucent deep ruby brown body. Weak but clean aroma of cocoa and milk chocolate. Dry cocoa-accented malt flavor. Some pretty nice milky/yoghurty tones. Mild peppery bitterness. Light to medium full. Sparkling choco-malty finish. A good one.

Appearance: Deep brown color with a small beige head. Some lacing.
Aroma: Chocolate and Christmas spices.
Palate: Medium body. Slightly sweet and some bitterness. Average carbonation.
Taste: A bit sweet. Caramel malt and some roasted malt with a fine blend of Christmas spices.
Overall impression: Feels like a light edition of Nøgne Ø Underlig jul. Lovely norwegian grocery store Christmas ale.
Personal stats: Bottle from Varnaveien mineralvann in Moss, Norway. Enjoyed at Kosters highest point. 252 km away from Lindesnes.

50cl bottle from Varnaveien mineralvann, Moss. Pours clear dark brown with a reddish hue and an off-white head. Spicy and malty aroma with some roasty notes. Medium sweet with flavour of malt, caramel and spices and a lightly bitter and spicy finish. Anise seems to be the most easy recognizable spice and it fits quite well. Balanced and easy to drink with more flavour and not so much carbonated caramel water with alcohol feel that some of the Norwegian industrial Christmas brews give.

Kort ettersmak. Opp fra 1.8 som jeg opprinnnelig ga den.

Shared bottle at Cardinal. Clear amber mahogany body with a light brown film. Smells of animal fodder (Norwegian: kraftfor) and toasted malts. Not inviting. Mouth adds green apples, barnyard and malts. Medium body and a gentle carbonation. Avoid.

500 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.7%. Very dark brown colour, nearly black. Moderate off-white head. Distinct aroma of Christmas spices, some roasty notes too, hints of woodwork. Light bodied. Quite dry flavour, roasty notes, hints of spices, bitter hops in the finish and aftertaste.
