Bottle 500ml @ Hr.Redaktør!, Mandal
Pours clear deep amber/brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, hop pellets, grassy, floral and herbal hops. Taste is medium sweet and medium to heavy bitter with a grassy bitter and floral finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle, at Hr. Redaktør. It pours a lightly hazy brown body under a small, dense beige head. There’s quite a lot of American hop pellets in the aroma, followed by roasted malts, some caramel and chocolate and a touch of coffee in the far back. Some perfumed notes. It’s pretty hoppy in the flavor too, pine cones and some citrus peel. Caramel and roasted malts, chocolate and a good bitterness. Full body and a pleasant carbonation level. Lasting bitter finish with a nice chocolatey touch and caramel. Well, it’s a nice one, but a tad unbalanced and I’d prefer more citrusy hops. 140405

500 ml bottle @ "Cafe Sara", Oslo. April 03, 2014. Beer from a tulip glass. A bit unclear/cloudy dark brown color with a beige head and medium carbonation. Aroma is pine, roasted malt, dark bitter chocolate and some dark fruit. Taste is quite dry, bitter and hoppy and bites my tongue. Long lasting bitter finish. 500 ml was a bit to much of this brew.

500ml bottle at Café Sara, shared with Rebecca and Oda. Fair, bubbly, beige coloured head. Fragile lacing. Brown-reddish body colour. Caramel aroma added by hints of dark fruits. Balanced flavour of roasted brown malts and fruity hops. Fine bitter round off. Medium bodied. Well made version of the style (Oslo 28.03.2014).

500 ml bottle. Unclear dark brown body with an off-white head. Fine aroma of chocolate malt, slightly roasted and a hint of pine. Flavor is sweet caramel malt, chocolate and pleasant bitterness. Fine body and decent aftertaste. A safe version of a brown ale, still decent and well balanced. Nice to taste some of these recently improved Lindesnes beers.

Shared bottle at Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours clear very dark ruby, with a big creamy off-white head. Aroma is light roasted malts, some piney hops as well. Taste is weak sweet malty, turns more more dry & bitter, lots of piney and fruity hops, one of the better one from Lindesnes.

Dark brown with a solid beige head. Hoppy aroma with some milk chocolate. Lots of hops and semi-dark malts in taste. Medium bitter aftertaste with chocolate in background. Well balanced.
