Cask at the Sair Inn, Linthwaite, on 19th February 2011. Ink-black with pale brown head of foam. Oatiness and burnt malts abound. Coffee, then slight citric glaze in-mouth. Medium-length bittersweet end on textured mouthfeel.

Cask at the Sair Inn, Linthwaite. The Guineas name gives away the intent and they serve up a wonderful, full-bodied take on a Stout. Very dark with a slight ruby tinge and a full off-white head. Full malt aroma with hints of roasted grain. Lovely rounded fruity taste with the roasted malts giving a decent bitter finish. Well worth the trouble of finding the place.

Cask Stillage at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, Oldham 23/03/2002 Dark coloured and slightly rich on the palate. Very fruity flavours. Earthy aroma. Slightly bitter roast malt finish.
