MartinT (4241), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Jun 2, 2007 My Bottom Line:
A deft floral, soapy and orangey hop perfume offers plenty of flavors, leading to the pleasant herbal bitterness. As you have noticed, maltiness isn’t much of a player here, barely supporting this drinkable Bitter’s frugal hops.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam sits atop the hazy blond-amber.
-The aroma and flavor profile are all in the same direction, which is disappointing (malt doesn’t contribute much).
-This was served pretty cold, helping drinkability, but exposing the frail maltiness once it had warmed up.
-Not much of a "Cuvée Spéciale" if you ask me, but I don’t think the brewer can do as he pleases at this brewpub.
On tap at the brewpub.
