blankboy (2499), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jul 20, 2008 Draught at ’Linox’, Quebec City. Dunkler Bock? It was called an ESB there!? Weird. Pours a clear amber-brown with an average size diminishing white head. Very mild aroma of caramel malt, a bit toasty perhaps, and some fruit. Watery flavour of fruity malt and maybe some hops in the finish -- this needs much more flavour. Quite dull, especially for the style. As mentioned by others a definitive chemical aroma.
Somewhat of citrus, lemon or grapefruit taste. Not a bad beer but not my style.

Very light orangy citrus finishes with a touch of lemon-grapefruit. Sweet malty middle. Average palate. Needs more... everything. But a good start.
