3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 mabel (4405) - Toronto, - MAR 31, 2008
[1091-20080211] Tap @ Lion brewpub (Waterloo, ON). Light and fresh yeasty bread aroma. Clear, pale yellow body with a long-lasting foamy white head, lots of bubbles throughout and thick white lacing. Nice yeasty bread flavours but otherwise bland. Light body. A surprisingly nice light beer, good blend.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 rederic (2326) - montréal, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 24, 2010
On tap at the brewpub, pale yellow color, with an of-white heaf, light toasted, pale malt, honeyed nose with a subtle floral hop grassy accent in the aroma follows through on a light-bodied palate with a crisp citrusy, light pale malt character with a faint flowery hop lemony, grassy undertones, leading towards a very light lingering hop bitterness finish. So tasteless!!!!
2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 tupalev (2730) - Waterloo, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 22, 2009
At the brewpub. Yellow pout, small white head. Slightly sweet bready aroma - the first aroma from these guys that was sort of fake corny to be honest. Taste was better - it could have passed for any of their house beers, so that is a credit in terms of flavour to this light lager. Bready not grassy, slight sweetness, medium mouthfeel. It was refreshing enough with brunch but not packing a ton of flavour. Still, in terms of light beers, it was exceptional.

Not really my favorite Lion quaff but as a light ale it was remarkably fresh and malty.
Clear straw color, white cap, well carbonated.
Light biscuity aroma not much else.
Light body biscuity, mild hopping lightly drt and a fast clean finish. One dimensional but fresh tasting.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 MrManning (1945) - London, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 11, 2008
On tap at the Hotel- Pale yellow pour, topped with a thin white cap. Grainy, fruity nose mostly compromised of apples and a touch of pear. The flavour profile is weak but clean. Apples and sweet pale malts with a touch of leafy hops and grass. A bit watery on the finish, but all things considered, pretty well made.

Light pale yellow with a wee head. Creamy, easy to drink, with a toasty aftertaste. Suprisingly, really enjoyed this.

(Draught) Pours a thin, white head and pale gold body. Grassy nose that passes into the flavour. Bitter finish. Not bad for a light beer...

Pale golden yellow. Small white head. Disipated fast. Nothing in aroma but slight malt and grass. Almost a slight grassiness in flavour. More full flavoured then most macro styled American Light beers I've sampled. Sweet malty and bitter.

UPDATED: FEB 12, 2008 2008-02-11. Draft at the brewpub. Yellow body with a small white head, excellent lacing. (3+) Mild floral hop aroma is pleasant. Mild bitterness, floral character returns, sweet lightly doughy malt. Average to light smooth palate. Surprisingly full flavoured, I wondered if they had swapped it with the Lion Lager on the sampler! 6+/3/6/3/13 - 3.1
<P>Jan 2001: Don’t expect much from a light beer. It was better than macro lights, but not much. 4/3/4/2/8 - 2.1
